May you & Nancy enjoy a very smooth transition to your new home and I wish y'all much success with your dreams in Utah!!! :)

Thank you everyone.
and lots of good info, keep it coming :)

I am going to have to see if utgunnut@earthlink.net is available :)

I know nothing about the area, but congrats to your wife on the job, and I hope the move goes well.

Did you decide if you are going to move to the Utah county area (I hope) so you will be close to your wife's work, or the Salt Lake county area?.

Anywhere we can afford. close to her job is a plus so UT county is looking good, saw a place in Springville that looks good :)
Definitely a fixer upper but it has land and a shop.
and if it is really in the 110,000.00 range its doable :)

Look for Meat and greets a plenty when we get there :)

Free sheath for whoever finds us our dream home :)

No real SLC info from me, but I spend some time in the NE corner of UT. Lots of good hunting and fishing around Vernal. I LOVE to float and flyfish the Green River below Flaming Gorge. I HIGHLY recommend you do that at least once! (Do it once, and I promise you'll be going back!)

ETA: Pics from the Green River canyon below Flaming Gorge Res.

And these are the kind of fish you can expect to see in the river's CLEAR water:

Springville you say :). Well I know 2 people already that would be willing to help fix up the place.

That sounds like quite an adventure. Utah is my favorite state to visit even though I stay in the scenery south of I-70. My wife and I were in Moab just a couple of months ago.

I love Utah... funny, only last night I was looking through pictures (35mm) that I took when me and the ex road tripped from Calgary to Palm Springs !!!!

That is very exciting news Dave. Best of luck with the move. I am sure you will have the new shop up and running in no time.

Garth

Congratulations to Nancy on the job! Best of luck with finding your new home and with the move. I'm sure y'all will do great up there.

That sounds great Dave, good luck! I was in Utah a few times when I was in the service, beautiful scenery. Sometimes I want to move out of south FL, we have hot and hotter!

Congratulations, Dave! I hope your move to Utah brings you as much joy as my move to Colorado has brought me!

Congratulations on the move. Utah is a great place, been visiting there every year for the last 4 years since my friend moved over. Lots of big spaces to go out and use your knives

I have warned him he may need to brace his wallet for your arrival, he has far too many Busses needing decent sheaths. :D

Good luck on the move and good luck to your wife. A friend of mine is just finishing his time in the MoTab. Just sold our house this week before we even listed it. Will be heading to Texas just north of Dallas to be closer to kids and grand kids.
