I think delrin feels nicer than ultem (which feels dry and slick)

Ultem is kinda like G10. Not quite as good as micarta, but better than Delrin.

Delrin is very similar to nylon. (functionally, not chemically). If I were going to use a shitty plastic for scales, I'd probably chose nylon, it was invented by a Carothers!

My only experience with delrin would be the scales on my Schrade pocket knives from way back.
I always liked it on them.

Cool photo. It's a really nice knife. If it had been around back then, I might not have to look so hard for the AEB-L UF1. Then again, who am I kidding

He got a great example, it was hard to find any inconsistencies in the grinds or the swedge and it came nice and sharp, I was impressed! It fit the kydex UF2 sheath perfect too which he was happy about so he didn’t trash the nice leather one it came with.
