You can tell that I'm old. Because...

I'm going to see a Van Halen concert tonight - AND I"M PUMPED!

Woot!

I've seen them twice. Second time was when Sammy sang for them. Its a good show. Loud as all get out though! I was suffering from ringing ears for days after that concert. Loudest ones I've ever been to.

The last Van Halen concert I went to in Saint Louis was so loud we could not even tell what song was playing until we stuck cigarette filters in our ears from my friends pack of Marlboros. Until we did that it was all just one big noise. We wore those filters the entire concert to be able to hear the music and still had to shout at each other to hear for the next two days. :D

Cool, I've been a Van Halen fan from their early days.

Have a great time and don't forget the ear plugs. :D

Michael Anthony is gone from the group last I heard and Wolfgang (Eddie's son) is in his place?

Yep. That is correct.

I am just glad that David Lee is back with them. The DLR Van Halen is the one that I grew up with.

The last Van Halen concert that I went to was more than 25 years ago. Sheesh - how did I get to be so old?

It is funny how Eddie has aged and we have not.:D

Beats the alternative. :D

I ways an adamant DLR Van Halen fan, although I could admit the Sammy stuff was good.

grew up with dave in van halen, rocked on with sammy in van halen (van hagar). both are rock n roll to me! rock on and enjoy the show!

I'm too old too... :o
enjoy the show SAK ...
I saw Van Hagar at the Monsters of Rock concert many moons ago at the Orange Bowl in Miami,FL ....
I prefer Diamond David Lee Roth's voice though...
my fave albums are: Fair Warning and DiverDown

I remember those days, when Fair Warning came out and VH was still a young, innovative band. You didn't know exactly what they were going to do next - the first time I heard "Mean Streets" it just blew me away. Those guys were blazing trails back then. It makes their later neutering all that much sadder.

Roth is the best.

LOL I must be a fan. I just looked to my right and there was the CD's that I was listening to Yesterday morning EST well before I even saw this post.:D
(Ya I know, CD's Are Sooo Dated):D
Other then Gary Hoey, the other three were,
Van Halen II
Van Halen/Woman and Children First
Van Halen / Balance

i can remember the hey day of vh-
nothin like getting some beer as kid and cranking up some atomic punk while you fumble around trying to roll a fatie in a buddies basement-

and once your old enough to drive- and get those big speakers hooked up-ICE CREAM MAN

5150. Enough said.

I had the tickets for their last (only?) local show. Then a Hurricane came through...cancelled.

I was 10 when 1984 came out and man, oh man, did I want to play guitar. But I grew up with Sammy in the band so I'm kinda partial to the stuff they put out with him on vocals. I still think almost 20 years later that OU812 was a very underrated album.

During my senior year of high school For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge played continously in my cassette deck.

I even liked the VHIII album with Gary Cherone. But like I said for me, it's the VanHagar!
