I'm glad you like the show, but I wouldn't go to one of their shows now if the tickets were free. I mean, I use to love Van Halen, don't get me wrong. I didn't like DLR that much, but he was ok. DLR did his solo thing, and V/H gets rid of him. Fine. In comes Sammy. Great. I liked Sammy. Then V/H didn't like Sammy anymore. Geez, WTF?!! Then back to DLR. Oh wait, they don't like him. Then comes Gary. Jesus Christ. That Album SUCKED ASS. Thank God I got a chance to listed to it before I got suckered in to buy it. Then DLR and Sammy tour together. Never saw that one coming, never. And then DLR and V/H are back together again. I think the problem isn't the singers that V/H has had, but the Van Halen brothers themselves. Just my 2 cents.

The only member who looked like a real rocker was Alex.
Eddie and DLR both had short haircuts.
Eddie looked like a businessman with his very short hair.

Actually Alex shaved his head and Eddie cut his hair once before, post 5150. IIRC everyone agreed to shave their heads following the tour, Alex did, Ed felt bad and met him half way with the short cut.

I think the problem isn't the singers that V/H has had, but the Van Halen brothers themselves. Just my 2 cents.

I got the same feeling when I saw Ed & Alex talking about Sammy when he left the band. It was like 1985 all over again.

However, the short haircut, blond highlights, and chest hair all waxed off (or whatever it is you do) might be part of the reason my wife turned to me during the concert and asked: "Honey - is David gay?"
