What color are the scales on yours ? They almost look to have a purple hue to them.
I have got to get one from this series. IMHO its the best blade design Buck has brought out for a long time

I'm seriously considering an avid model I already own a couple of knives in s30v and 420hc and need to try some more sandvick.
great feedback on this knife. I really like how the blade shape adds weight to the blade, meshed with the grip texture on the flipper make it a very consistent openner. I am carrying a pro-Lux right now like a good new product advocate I have to be but I Really Like the vantage force series. When the dust settles think the Vantage Force Pro will become my EDC
Same boat, I wanted a Vantage with Cherrywood and Sandvick steel, so I got 2 birds with one stone and ordered the web special this morning!![]()

I'm such a sheep...should never have looked at what Bear Claw ordered, I ordered mine this afternoon, went to the website at least 5 times trying to convince myself I didn't need it, I don't. But I sure did want it.
CJ,
Will the Vantage Force models be available in smaller versions, like the original Vantages?
And when will the Force and the Lux Pro models be widely available?
Thanks.
The Forces are easy to come by but the Lux hasn't made the camieo appearence yet. The second one hits the Bay Its mine. So all you Trollers that watch to see what the guys on the forums are discussing, We are waiting for the Lux to touch down.CJ,

The Forces are easy to come by ....:
Not all models and still not at a lot of dealers.
Would really appreciate answers from Buck.
Thanks.
I am pretty sure the answer would be that they are still filling their dealers stock first. The local shop here in Las Cruces has a few on hand, and more inbound. Maybe online retailers are second in line to brick and mortar types? Just wish the local shop wasnt trying to charge so much for the Avid Force. I am supportive of local shops and all but $170 for an avid is insane![]()
