Various Question for Sal Glesser

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!! Now finding out that information is going to make this a very long year. But it will be worth the wait to have a Spyderco Lum Chinese folder with the REKAT lock.

Whoopee, I'm with Blades on this one. The Chinese Folder with the Rekat lock would be all my wishes rolled

into one. I may never buy another knife (just kidding).

Ronald - Don't know of any photos out. Spyderco will have Bob Lum made protos (with linerlock) at the SHOT Show in Atlanta. When we show pics early, and the model takes longer than expected to product develop, then we get in "trouble for taking too long to get production out. Keeping in mind that Spyderco is product developing at least 15 concepts at any given time, models take longer than the ELU would like. As I mentioned to Thaddeus, we can keep "closed mouthed" about future stuff, or we can suffer the consequesnses of a reputation for "long time from concept to production". ?? If we make a proto of the Chinese folder with a Rolling lock, we will be sure to take some pics. or ?? (PS: My wife carries a carbon fiber/ATS-34 Chinese folder jr. says she likes it very much). If you can't wait, Bob will be happy to make you a custom (with linerlock) in the handle material or size of your choice. He makes a "Baby" that's very "cute". Good quality, very personable. More expensive than the production version.

RR,

There are some of Bob Lum's Chinese Folders for sale at Arizona Custom Knives with some nice pictures. You can see why some of us (me in particular) want this knife so badly.

Now imagine the Bob Lum Chinese Folder with the Spydie hole instead of an oversized nail nick, and instead of a liner lock the new and improved REKAT Lock with the release on the side of the knife. What a great knife it will be!!
