VERY GOOD GEC/OKCA NO BONE CHANGE #23 CLUB KNIFE

We'll I got my email response from OKCA. An OKCA Club member is contacting GEC tomorrow to straighten out the problem. OKCA asked me did I want a full refund on the knife. I want this club knife and I said ,"no". OKCA also told me to keep my big mouth shut on the Bladeforums. The OKCA 2020 club knives are sold out.
So did you find out if its going to be bone or is it cherry wood? I believe the last couple years it has been cherry wood with the beaver shield.

Last year Antique yellow peach-seed jigged bone/beaver shield GEC#97 Allegheny OKCA SFO 2019 club knives 105 made. 2011 GEC Sunfish looks like antique jigged bone/beaver shield knife (na/made) ---2012 GEC Whittler Burnt stag/beaver shield 54 made --- 2015 GEC#38 Northfield Whittler Chestnut peach-seed jigged bone/beaver shield 50 made ----- 2016 Oregon Camp knife antique autumn jigged bone/beaver shield 54 made ----- 2017 GEC#13 Congress whittler Northfield smooth white bone/beaver shield 58 made ----- 2018 GEC#43 Oregon Trapper Dark Autumn Gold jigged bone/beaver shield 110 made --- I have no idea what the OKCA club will choose with GEC in the coming week. I am just going to shut my big mouth and be thankful with what I receive. I'll post when I hear something.

You keep posting a bunch of extraneous information unrelated to helping us understand your issue which makes it difficult for people to offer advice.

Hopefully you get what you think you paid for out of all this. Also, I hope you learned not to bad mouth a club or company before giving them a chance to respond to your concerns. Sounds like you aren't returning the knife no matter what it is, so I'm not sure it was worth the stress to get all upset about. Anyway, good luck.

Well I did over react . I have been so excited about this #23 run. I apologize to anyone I offended and acting like a Jack-a$$. I have crazy 24/7 chronic phantom pain and I had a traumatic brain injury years ago. I collect knives and surf the web for knives to keep my mind off the pain. I am sorry for acting like an idiot. An OKCA member should be contacting GEC soon and straightening out the problem. These knives are more expensive to raise money for the OKCA Oregon spring knife show. I am just going to let it roll. "It is was it is !" Looks like I will be raking in some great looking #23 Trapper knives in April and May. Fighting depression , I'm trying to keep it together. I have much to be thankful for.

Best of luck and positive vibes to you in your struggle. You are for sure going to have a bunch of great knives heading your way over the next couple months. I can't wait to see how all these 23s turn out - should be a great spring!

I just received an Email from Great Eastern Cutlery . The information on the GEC#23 Schedule is wrong. The GEC employee that operates the computers will be out for bereavement . GEC will be updating their web-sight as soon as they can.

Good man. We all get excited over our hobby and sometimes react in a way that we wish we hadn’t. No harm no foul. I’ve got a knife on reserve that I’m refusing due to a similar scenario and I’d like to strike out but after all, it’s just a knife. Now, if the 23’s were bull locks, that would be a different story.

Don't give up on the Bull-locks yet. If I were Bill Howard , I would be doing the same thing. The two blade #23s are harder to sell. Those go first , then the #23LL Trappers. Those #23LL will be gone in hours , a day tops. I bet Bill Howard is staying real quiet about Bull-locks. When the #23LL run is over and sold out quickly. "POW" , the #23 Bull-locks will immerge. "Just guessing" That is I what I would do if I were Bill Howard. No stags this run #23 run so far. Big Stag Scales are hard to get at a decent price. Bill Howard is holding out big Sambar Stag scales for #23 Bull-lock Trappers. I am guessing and dreaming big ! Bill Howard is always full of secret surprises ! I am not giving up on Bull-locks !

I am down for that . Northwoods SFO in Kudos bone or giraffe were even higher priced last year. I would not doubt if Northwoods will be offering #23 liner-locks. GEC and Northwoods are always full of surprises. I am saving my money for the big #23 knives. I will be getting some nice one too. I am hoping the #23 brown jigged bone will be Chocolate Almond peach-seed color. The best new GEC bone color of 2019. That smooth antique autumn bone will look nice too.

"NEVER MIND EVERYTHING WORKED OUT COOL" I paid for an Antique Jigged bone/beaver shield #23 Trapper two blade "Northfield" Oregon Knife Collectors Association club knife. These knives are expensive because they raise money for the 2020 Oregon Blade show. Since I live in South Carolina , my knife has to be shipped to me. I will receive my knife in late April. GEC will make over 600+ Brazilian Cherry wood/beaver shield knives on this #23 run. When I spotted the GEC #23 production schedule , I flipped out. I found out about the #23 run in November and I paid for my OKCA club knife on January 2nd. I have two different club knives on pre-paid-ordered. I have six #23LL and one SFO two blade #23 Trapper knives on pre-order. I am ready to roll ! I don't own any #23 and these knives should open up easily between my knees/thighs .

In 1989 , I wrecked my Harley 1976 FLH into a oak tree in the Francis Marion National Forrest. "The Swamps" It was 30 hours later , I was recused out of there. I broke all the nerves in my right chest. I had my dead arm removed a year and a half later. I am in crazy pain 24/7 for the rest of my life. Pain treatments do no work. I am alcohol and drug free. I was just drug tested for six different drugs at the VA and I "PASSED" !!! I surf the web and collector knives to keep my mind off the pain. I'll try to behave myself a little better. If I write a little backwards sometimes. "I AINT RIGHT , I ALL LEFT !" BAW-HA ! HA ! HA ! HA ! HA !

That sucks. Looks like you are making the best of it though. Glad everything worked out with the knife.

OneArm..... I'm a Viet Nam Veteran with pain related disabilities...... I dealt with disabling pain for many years...... It can take over and control you..... You have to shake that monkey off your back...... If you have a good, clean DD214 you can get pain help through the VA...... Get with them and stay on them until you get some quality back in your life..... It took me many operations and recovery over 5+ years but I now am relatively pain free..... I don't take narcotics or drink..... Good luck and best wishes in getting some relief from your pain....
