I've got an A-100 in my hands on the desk in front of me as I type.
appearance wise...yech...I don't know if it's just flat ugly, or proper sleep medication, but it's looks are about as plain, jane ordinary as a knife can get. I think a SAK Tinker has more exciting curves. Having said that....It's also the reason I'm falling in love with this thing. a razor sharp spear point blade, a handle, and a solid lock-up, what the hell else could a guy want? I love it's, clean, efficient, and no frills nature, this has gotta be one of the coolest knives I've seen in awhile. It double ground, razor sharp, and has a very versatile blade shape. It'd make one helluva EDC. This one may very well become mine. I also think it'd be a real nice one to have out in the outdoors. It's obviously not a skinner, but I spend way more time fantasizing about cleaning animals than actually doing it anyways.

I think it'll be fine for fuzz sticks, marshmallow sticks, carving spoons, etc. and of course it'll clean fish and game just fine in a pinch, if needed. Just not the number one choice for designated hunting.
Some folks might have the impression that it's small, slender and more PC. It's not. It's pretty much as large and bulky as any other Emerson. CQC-7, P-SARK, etc. It might be slightly more PC than some, but not enough to bother with, if that's a deciding factor for a person.
On my short list of druthers:
I wish the non-locking liner was skeletonized just a bit to cut a little weight.
It's only drilled for strong side, tip up carry. more options would be pretty cool.
It's a darn nice knife, and not likely to disappoint IMHO.
