very light, fast blade

yeah that really is a great knife-- I would hold onto that sirupati, as it has some extra flourishes I think you will really appreciate when your collection grows - so glad the klvuk made it to its proper owner, and overjoyed you like it; as we say around here, the blade chooses us sometimes, I think this one was always yours hawks-- I bought it on a whim many months ago, was just waiting for the right guy to come along! glad to have you with us, you will enjoy the community.

Thats one big advantage to the small worksharp, you can turn down the rpm. No worries overheating at all.So strange that you have to pay $400-$800 before you get a variable speed motor on the belt Sanders.

I love the 2×72 build idea. I bit much for me, but I wish I could. I think its kalamazoo offers the 1×42 & 2×72 w/o a motor. (2×42??? Could be) I thought of using one side of my variable speed porter grinder to run it

I cant remember for sure, but it may have been true grit I've read so much about. I used econabrasives....never again. 600gr & 1000gr micron belts blew apart within a minute.

I could see any company worried about a high speed belt sander. I use it for wood, stock removal and machetes. By just removing the gaurd, axes and larger knives go on the worksharp. Often I have the speed just above stalling. How else could you resharpen convex evenly.

Thanks Gehazi, i will keep the sirupati, at least until my nephew is mature enough for it. I really feel both have found me. Yours is just a perfect fit (length and weight) and one of the posts that convinced my to go with HI was by a man who would only vouch for Sher's work because thats who made his. So much researching forb just the right one, I had forgotten his post. Now a collaborative piece of his lands on my table.
