This is one that was a challenge. It is a couple hundred layers of 1084/15n20 with the Texas Wind pattern. The spine is almost 3/8" thick and hollow ground on a 5" wheel. The ring guard and pommel are pure nickel forged from powder metal. The swivel is for take down and the sheath is Nickel Silver and alligator. The body of the sheath is fiber glass. The NS clamp is made for a vest pocket carry/conceal.

Tom Ferry did the basket weave carving on the pre-ban ivory and the border engraving.

Thanks for looking. Thanks Coop for the cool picture.

Exceptional design and workmanship in every detail, Bruce!
From the overall concept to the carving pattern on the ivory
and the pocket clip.

Fits in beautifully with you gun/knife projects - all together
warranting a separate display in any major art museum....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Absolutely stunning Bruce!! I love the clamp on the sheath.

Can you share what was your inspiration for this knife? Is the clamp on the sheath of your design?

Thank you for sharing.

Man that's sweet... I could see someone like Doc Holliday pulling that out to clean his fingers as a warning.

Bruce, your work never fails to impress. This is a stunning piece of work. Not a design that I am familiar with, which is no doubt part of the reason I am so drawn to it. Beautiful materials and superb execution. Well done!

That's a work of art. Amazing piece! Thanks for letting us see it.

That is EXCEPTIONALLY nice Bruce. You do some incredible work. Some of your knife/pistol creations are my favorite items in DDD books.

Pleasure seeing the dagger. I also think the clip is cool.

Museum piece, no doubt.
People are going to look back at your work when we're all long gone and will be amazed, just as we are, by your outstanding craftsmanship and design talent, Bruce. That's my prediction;)for what it's worth.

That's an extraordinary piece Bruce. Like everything about it, especially the ring guard.

Your pieces are reminiscence of times when guns/knives were vital for sheer existence.

This piece brought something to mind that I read:

It was said that pistols of the day frequently misfired, or the shooter may miss the target, but that a Bowie knife in skilled hands was certain death. Though some people today are quick to chime in with sayings like "Don't bring a knife to a gunfight", in the 19th century it was "Don't forget to bring a knife to a gunfight!"
