Veteran's Day Give-Away!

No, no, no. And sorry Joe, but not all special warfare units are in the Army or Marines, or are Navy SEALs.

I'll make it simple... I'm not Rambo. I never blew up an entire building to save my squad. I never covertly de-animated a dozen Tangos with my E-tool. I never drove a tank into a fire-ridden city. I'm not a SEAL, and I'm not a SFOD-D (Delta Force) member. I'm not Rambo. People don't join the service to become Rambo; they leave the service because they have become Rambo.
I'll tell you that my Enlistment Contract says "U.S. Army" on it. I have a CIB; the rest is up to you.

I had no idea about the ones I left in the quote above. Thanks for the lessons.

Now the cats out of the bag...your basic infantry soldier (Marines or Army) sees the most action and are the guys pounding pavement everyday in the thick of it. Im suprised it took as long as it did, but I guess the exotic answers were pretty entertaining.

However, what people do not know....

... is that JNieporte was also a roadie for Weezer, ka-ge ninja, Nintendo beta-tester, Doctor Evil's Rocket Scientist, and he invented the sniper rifle before Chuck Norris invented the roundhouse kick. :D:D

This actually made me laugh, which I don't do too often. I'll send you something cool just for that story. E-mail me your address.

Everybody else, the contest is still going...

Thanks Josh for the giveaway, and congratulations offsetlover on the win!

Ray :)

Congrats on the win offset! I guess KISS would apply here. Thanks for stepping up Josh and serving your country. I can appreciate most of what you went thru. I only earned an EIB, though. It was pretty quiet during my enlistment.

Offsetlover; just remember, you've got to review the Scallion and the super duper mystery prize within two weeks of reception. I wonder what it could be....

Next time we meet, I'll tell you a story about a mis-hap that I encountered with an M-24SWS (the Army's sniper rifle system).

BTW, is the scallion with the 13c26 or the 14c28n or 440A steel? doesnt matter too much to me either way, but i am curious.

It's from October 2007, so it's 420HC. All Scallions, except for the damascus versions, are 420HC. The conversion to Sandvik doesn't include the Chives or Scallions, at least that's what Dawn from Customer Service told me.

yeah you are right. my brain froze lol. still replaying that Colts game tonight in my mind and how one of my friends wouldnt talk to me afterwards lol

I believe Im up for another gathering on Saturday the 15th again...you open OL?
