VG-1? New Cold Steels

yeah, Brave Heart, Steel Tiger, and that big bolo look good. I expect 420HC and mild carbon steel, which won't bother me.

Oh no!!!! I find myself liking the look of some of these new Cold Steel knives. The Talwar is cool and the KonjoII and Sisu definitely have my interest.

I like those, too, but they're gonna cost more than I'm willing to pay for a Cold Steel blade.

It looks like the cheapest I can find the Talwar for is about $278, which isn't to bad, but more then I would pay for a Cold Steel knife...now that shamshir sword on the other hand..I would be willing to pay that.

Yeah, that could be a pretty ingenious workaround of the patent. I love it when the system forces improvements.

the steel tiger, braveheart and others that are based on thier plastic knives are reported to be AUS 8 and will probably go for around 35-40bux.

Was trying to borrow a Talwar from CS yesterday, apparently it'll be two or three months before they're actually out.

The Ak47 is goofy looking- and has what looks to be a knock off Axis lock and Wave.

"Cold Steal" :jerkit:

That is the first thing I thought when I saw it too.

Agreed. I'm right there with you.

"Konjo" with a European pronunciation (konyo) sounds like a Spanish vulgarity.

And what's with that Brooklyn Smasher, a polycarbonate baseball bat? I see a racial incident awaiting. :p The walking stick alongside it looks interesting, though.

Thanks for the link the 97MKM looks like some chopper.
What a shame they did not make a new Trailmaster kind of knife.:grumpy:

The Sisu needs a guard:grumpy: and I will make one when I get my fingers on that baby:D Cool looking knife.
Konjo II looks nioce and has the right grind and not that American "NInja" tip grind :D :jerkit:
They should make a satin finish Recon scout fron that San mai steel:thumbup:

Cheers,

André
