VG-1? New Cold Steels

I would imagine that LT and the crew will say something to the effect that because the wave is integral to the blade and their thumb opener is attached to the blade that its different enough not to violate the patent. $60 is STILL too much to pay for that AK-47 folder though. You have to admit, though, at least their constantly playing fast and loose with other people's designs is at least good for a laugh.

My friend had one of those ridiculous Bud K magazines, and i was flipping through it out of morbid curiosity. Let me tell you, what a freakshow. The thing I that was funniest about it, though, was that a lot of Cold Steel designs are stolen by Bud K.

That they do, but BudK also has obvious ripoffs of Cold Steel knives such as their original tanto which can be bought for $10. :barf:

Now that is a wave opening design! The AK.

We might have had differences on the Ti lite but that one should be sued over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:jerkit:

If I'm not mistaking I read on an Emerson thread that the "wave" was originally designed to be a blade catcher, and someone stumbled across the idea that it can open the knife.

Bud K sells Boker, SOG, and Benchmade knives as well, and they steal anything they can!
