When I wa very young, I used to play with fire. Not matches or firecrackers or gunpowder, that's a story for another day.

I had a magnifying glass. I would take clean dry popsicle sticks and burn kid's names on them. I would set dry leaves on fire. I would get small twigs smouldering. I was very good at it.

The only trick is holding the tiny bright spot steady at the same focus and the same place. Moving around or up and down gives you less than the hottest spot.

Yeah it is a bit big for the pocket, I carried mine today, For the first half of the day I had it in my front right pocket, Then the other half of the day I had it in my Cargo pocket. I attached a para cord lanyard to the ring so its easier to grab with the lanyard hanging a little bit out of the pocket. Works great. Pocket clip would be nice though. I'm surprised how well the blade keeps an edge, I can get this thing REALLY sharp. The swiss sure know what they are doing. Is it just stainless?

I used to light my cigarets with the SAK magnifier -- summertime, clear skies. Worked in a second or two.

Damn! I gave up cigarettes too early. Had I thought of that, I might be smoking still.
