Video from the gathering!!!!!!

This is very confusing for everybody. Bladesports has a red League which is the experienced cutters and a White League which is the more amateur cutters. On the off chance that an amateur cutter does better than the red cutters they could still win overall. The first year James Clifton won world's I believe he was a white level cutter.
I just confirmed this with James to make sure I was remembering correctly. He actually won his first ever cut and they made him an automatic red level. So technically he was a red level cutter but he won world's the very first year he joined Bladesports

The naming conventions still weren’t well thought out.

In this particular case, Bennie won both the Red class AND Overall, so the announcements make even less sense.

What WOULD make more sense, and be less confusing, is to announce the conventional;
“Taking 3rd place…”

“Coming in 2nd place…”

“And in 1st place in Red/White class (and when applicable, “and the Overall Winner…”).

My friend in Montana has a beer burro business. She does weddings and event. The donkeys walk around with saddle packs full of beer on ice. It’s probably too far to travel for them but maybe you could get some ponies and train them up to do it. IMG_8563.jpegIMG_8564.jpeg

Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist

When have time remind me again what blade steel you guys use for you competition knives? And maybe blade thickness and cutting angle.

Is what you use common through out the sport?

Thanks

CPM 4V (and the sister steel V4E) HRC 63-64, 15 DPS

It's becoming more and more common. We win almost every race we attend, so we are one of the main drivers in the sport

Maybe Nathan could offer up a special "V4E Race Edition" option for the upcoming light/medium chopper Pre-Order? ;)

Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist you should get a beer cart like at a golf course so I can drive around delivering beer next year hahahaha
Ohhh gawd !!! I was already soooo fucked up ! THAT’S A TERRIBLE IDEA. 🤣🤣🤣❤️

Seriously, the terrain is steep and hilly, we wouldn’t want you to spill the beer. Tanto and Rasmus would have to lick it all up.

Heck just do a preorder for an actually designed competition knife. I’d be down for one.

I am sure he has the cad file on hand for Jo’s knife.

Let’s do it!

Call it the NINJO!

I think there might have been mention of more in the future!!!!!

They are fantastic!!!!!
I am fortunate enough to own and regularly use one. Like Yoko said, “ They are fantastic !” If CPK does another run, I strongly recommend that fans and followers buy one and try it out. The sport needs more participants, the knives are highly collectible and valuable, and nothing else in its size range cuts the same ! 🔥🔥🔥
