Video: I May Have Gone Too Far

Wow. The proof is in the pudding, man. Those weren't half hearted stabs, and I could've chopped all day. There's no point in a comparison. The point was only about the stock scales ability to hold a safe grip. AND I fully admit it was unsafe to perform the test. Hence all the warning and disclaimer. But, you're right. Maybe I was too subtle with my warnings. Denial will subside as you accept the truth you've witnessed.
Anyone can pause that video and see how close you came to disaster. Anyone can see that your stabs were very measured and weak.
Yes, the proof is there. You did a stupid thing to prove an irrelevant point. And repeatability is key. Hopefully no one else is dumb enough to try this again. This test repeated by 10 people would result in disaster.

Sorry but when you swing a King it should do alot more
you should see my 2 so abused Ethan would say what the F_ck
And yes I do have some Beckers That most will only see here, and never have the pleasure to use
Mods Coming
Sorry CM_Rick you are now restricted to use of the BK13 Only, because of the way you use the king, Poor Ethan
He Knows the king is so Much More

I could probably do more with your 13 than you could do with all of your knives. I'm sorry, but you've been on my nerves for a while. I'm also a little tired of your useless posts that do nothing more than boast your most recent purchases. And, let me guess, your skills are more than likely limited to chopping/batonning like there's nothing else to do with a knife... right?

Please don't respond. You really don't have much to add. At least some of us try to contribute useful information in this community.

It wasn't a test to show grivory was better than g10 or micarta, all that was set out to prove was that the grivory wasn't a hindrance in normal use, and he did that by taking it to the extreme conditions-wise and managing to come out unharmed. if the grivory is not slick enough to cause problems when coated in oil, it is obviously going to be just fine when dry and oil-free.

Told ya... He gets it

Thanks, man

No, it's not safe to oil up your knife and stab a tree hence your nervousness and half hearted stiff shouldered stabs. The same reason you stopped swinging it into the stump. It was slippery. A couple more swings and your knife would have left your weakened grip. A couple of real stabs and you would have cut your hand. A hand full of oil on a smooth plastic handle is a recipe for disaster. You didn't prove what you set out to in my opinion. Watching the video and seeing where your hand ended up on those half hearted stabs and on those last couple hacks......
You May attribute your non accident to handle design and Mr Becker but the cheap smooth plastic did nothing for you. Perhaps a comparison to some g 10 or micarta? Please don't.

Vade, stultus!

Thefinaledge is just a negative nelly who's not even been on this forum a month, he's just out to spread his negativity everywhere he can (looking at his post history anyways) and I have no clue what nuto is on about as his posts are really hard to read.

I think your video accomplished what you set out to test, it was obviously not a showcase on how to use a Becker, only a reassurance that grivory doesn't make the knife unsafe.

I guess you happen to be an expert at video analysis... right? Dude... I never go 100% force. EVER!!! I admit AGAIN this was unsafe, but it was effective. Just accept it.

based on the handle design, it effectively stops the hand outright, lubed, sweaty, bloody, or not.

thefinaledge doesn't appear to know what he or she is talking about, and with 15 posts at this time, and less when started, not a lot to offer in authority or gravitas. have you ever even tried these tests with a clean handle? got proof? post it. thanks.

nut: please, tone it down? lay off the sauce too.

for those doing ANALysis, not that the chopping went rather deep into the log. nice.

the stabs required the blade to be rocked out.

yeah, he was nervous. should have been. later thrusts were done with confidence, imho.

course, i'd offer that we do this with a 50 gallon drum, mineral oil, and some beers, but you know, science ;)

Backed by THE Bladite! Doesn't get much better than that.

You're one of those people that just keep getting more and more weird in an effort to win by attrition. Congrats! You and the other guy probably killed the thread.

You got half right with the oil just add a woman instead of the King
