That's a sharp knife.

You should show the knife to the camera before you do the cut.

Thin Anorexic GW splitting hair This one was tough because my hair is fairly thin and flimsy.

Cool! I though I'll never see something like this!
How did you sharpen it?

Also what are you using for video editing - this initial message, I mean.

Thanks, Vassili.

P.S. When you chopped through bottles - was your knives tied to you wrist? I did not see it clear. It should be - it is really dangerous to have this INFI flying arond...

Vassili,

I just use Movie Maker that came with Microsoft Windows XP. Yes, I have a lanyard around my wrist for safety reasons.

As far as sharpening... I just use 320grit and 600grit sandpaper then strop with a leather wheel loaded with stropping compound. I can strop by hand but it only takes me a couple of seconds on the wheel.

Thanks, my MMXP hangs up any time I try to edit something...
Hope you'll cut some manila rope next time...
Really, keep it coming!

Thanks, Vassili.

I wouldn't even know where to get manila rope. I just cut and chop whatever I happen to have around. I don't think manila rope will be all that hard though. Unless of course there are multiple strands involved.

This is manila rope I use for testing GW right now (I cut it and measure difference in sharpness before and after). It is 1/2" but OSH has like up to 2".

It is same cellulose as a wood, but easier to cut then wood (cut not chop), so this is why I think it is used for testing - Jerry Busse did few thousands cuts, so may be this is pointless for INFI, but other steels as I heart show much lower results.

Well, at least cutting free hanging ropes is part of knife competition...

Thanks, Vassili.

Great video Ban:thumbup:

Very clean cut through the can, and that GW is scary sharp

Very nice, Ban! :thumbup::cool:

Is that GW the one up for sale, or another one you have thinned down?

Yes, that is the same one that is up for sale on the exchange right now. If folks are interested I will do a pass around for it if it doesn't sell in a week or 2.

Samhain73, I put on a micro bevel of approximately 30 degree included angle on that GW.

BAD: We need to see a glass bottle cut in half. If anyone can get a knife that sharp I am sure it'd be you.
