Viper Storm collaboration

Damn that looks cool. Is it based on the Half Track? I see the resemblance. Viper is starting to make some more expensive knives. I had only first learned about them a few years ago when I saw their Viper Start, Krav Maga knife, and those ones. I remember on those first knives I saw I thought the liner they were using on their liner locks looked abit thin. Some of their newer knives are looking really high end.
 
I really like how that looks. I bet it will be more affordable than a Half-Track, too.

What is the size on these. I'm kinda hoping they are scaled up from the half track. How about pricing? I hope that they are priced along the lines of Viper's other folders. Interesting that the orange one has extra milling on the exposed titanium(?) parts.
 
I'm hoping for a firm detent. I haven't purchased a viper folder due to the wrong the detent is light
 
I've heard so many issues with quality control and viper knives, especially with detent and quality of the carbon fiber
it became very apparent with the giant mouse version recently. I like the design but I'm going to hold off for customers reviews first.
 
Unless the blade is super thick, this looks like it will be around the same size as the Half Track. I am digging the design, but it definitely looks vaguely Quartermaster-y

That's a good thing, I like their... unique styling, but I would prefer something made by somebody way less skeezy.
 
I think the Rick Hinderer FB post said 3.25" blade. I'd have to double check to be sure though.
 
The Half-Track has a blade length of about 2.75 inches.

The new MP-1 has a blade length of 3.25 inches or thereabouts.
