Viper vox kyomi flipper

Hate to disappoint you regarding the thickness and width (in closed position) of the Kyomi. They are exactly the same as the Odino.
Also the flipping action really is just "okay". I was hoping for better action after they postponed introduction of the Kyomi for several month to improve on that aspect.
But hey, the Kyomi still is a very very nice folder worth buying!

That's disappointing! Both Odino and Kyomi are also on the heavy side at over 5 ounces for the all titanium model!

The "okay" flipping could just be because it is brand new and needs broken in.. I hope! I imagined it being like a smooth rocket with that crisp locking sound or even that crisp hollow noise when you close it. I am pretty set on the Orange one. Do you like the titanium better?i have the black blade with carbon fiber now, and love it!

Perhaps I should just go with the CF since it's much lighter.

Kyomi weighs 3.99 ounces for CF, 4.16 ounces for G-10 and 5.19 ounces for titanium. My Odino TI is 5.5 ounces!

Now I am second guessing picking one up. Maybe I will have to wait a bit and see how it reviews. I'm more worried about action than the thickness though.

Lamnia of Finland which is a BF dealer has them in stock. I'm going to wait and see what the prices at U.S. dealers are like which should be fairly soon.

The cf is nice I think I got a good piece, I read that some of the carbon fiber isn't the most easy to see the pattern, or maybe got different cf now. And Im still hoping that the " not the smoothest" deployment is just. Needing broken in being a brand new blade, or an adjustment wouldn't fix?

Looks like I will maybe look for one on the exchange...

I do agree the Sakura shaped pocked clip mounting looks great, very creative vs just 2 or 3 holes you see everywhere. I do think it would look a lot better with a screw insert to cover such a big hole, again only my opinion.

I saw them on blade hq tonight as well. They look pretty good.

I don't care much about thickness or weight (within reason) but I can't tolerate a flipper that doesn't flip well.
Cool knife, not sure I'll pick one up though.

Awesome, I had not seen this knife before today. I have been pretty content with my current knives, but there is something I really like about this knife. I just ordered the ti with satin blade, I'll post my thoughts when I receive it.

I ordered a Kyomi Satin blade with CF scale. It's the lightest model at 4.3 ounces compared to 5.5 ounces for the all titanium. In the video it's not as wide as the Odino which is a good thing although it's still pretty thick. The flipper action looks good.

Mine just came in and so far I am really pleased with it. The fit and finish is excellent, with a nice centered blade and early lockup. A few of the edges are a little sharp (like the finger choil in the blade), but nothing a little sand paper won't fix. Flipping action is a little stiff, though I expect that with a new knife. It flips better with the push button method versus light switch, but we'll see how that changes as it starts to break in. Very sharp with nice even grind lines. I am not used to machined pocket clips, so the clip tension will take some getting used to.

Here are a few pictures with my 0801 and Techno. The size is right between the two, Which is exactly what I was looking for. I'll get some better pictures soon.

Just got my Kyomi full TI folder.

I love it. I have been flipping it for a bit, and the action is much better.

The sound it makes when opening and closing makes me want to flip it more. Lines up dead center, and looks to be the perfect size for me.

What's the back story to the gold? Looks kinda' cool. Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I'm kinda technologically challenged.
