Very nice Matt-

I'm excited for you..Looks like you are getting a big upgrade!

Here's what I have on my person pretty much every day from left to right:

Memo pad in front shirt pocket with ballpoint pen. Business card holder purposed as a wallet in left pants pocket. All 3 items Montblanc. Watch (Ball Airborne today) on left wrist. P12 Nitecore 1000 lumens flashlight in left pants pocket. Carry knife (ZT560BW today). Hand cream, eye drops, chapstick, and car keys. Handkerchief (not pictured). Knife and everything else in my right pants pocket.

I have some sundry items in my briefcase for the office such as tool logic card, lint remover, and a good number of stuff people wish someone has when they need one.

In each car trunk, I have an emergency bag with emergency stuff (think major earthquake stranded on the freeway stuff) along with change of clothes for my wife and I, food and water for two people for three days (if we pick up a hitchhiker, then the total food on hand can last an additional three days;)).

Very cool watch. I love the lume on Ball watches.

Thank you so much for sharing these with all of us. These are very nice EDC photos..I also LOVE EDC stuff! I have a few EDC photos myself. I recently purchased a really nice orange flashlight (in all of my EDC photos under photo album here ... it is a L10C. Here, I'll share it in this post so you can see. I LOVE Orange and Camo/Olive Drab! Thank you again. Your photos and your stuff is VERY nice and helpful. I also would like your thoughts on something. I recently purchased four Case Knives (awaiting the delivery), one OPINEL (blue), and a few others, including a sweet looking Ka-Bar fixed blade with sheath. I also purchased a leg holster for fixed blades because I hike a lot and do a lot of outdoor things (any thoughts on a good one, please let me know. I could only find one on Amazon that did not have a gun slot. Please do not leave a link here, but just tell me the name to google if you know) Among the others (knives) were some Rough Riders. Now, they are cheap, but I was told that for cheap knives, they are very good by several Blade Forum members. They look like very nice knives, and I didn't get the cheapest of the cheap..I would not get any that had fake materials or the like. Have you heard anything on these particular knives? If so, thoughts?

Thanks. To be honest, I share content whenever the opportunities arise. Some people have probably seen my images enough times to roll their eyes, hah.

I've got no suggestions on sheaths and holsters but, I'm sure there are members here who can help you with that. We have many service providers on BF that do leather, kydex, etc sheaths and holsters.

There's nothing wrong with the knives you've got coming. All are solid tools in their own right. In the end of the day, just about any sharp piece of metal is going to cut things, so I wouldn't sweat the performance. I don't know much about Case; most of my slipjoint knives are SAKs. The money we spend on our hobbies and "needs" is relative. Cheap doesn't mean poor performance. Plenty of cheaper blades are very effective and reliable tools, those Opinels you have, for example, are excellent. I still carry my $20 SAKs with my expensive folders, and I still wear the cheap casio I wore for 5 years when I want to give my nicer watches a break. Why? Those aforementioned items are effective tools, and they deserve to be used. Price is irrelevant.

Which Kabar fixed blade did you order? I am a fan of the Kabar Beckers.

Blade Girl. You're still a pretty traditional knife buyer. We purchase what we are comfortable with in terms of design and price. The Rough Riders are okay, but after a few similar knives, my feeling is why bother unless your objective is to collect them? I generally choose GEC or Qeen/S&M with an occasional Canal Street tossed in these days. The current Colt traditional folders are pretty well thought of as well as the Rough Riders. I will probably buy one the next time I'm in a knife store that carries a selection. Once I purchased my first GEC knife, I really seldom look at any other brand of traditionals (except Victorniox), but some do catch my eye. The GECs tend to be a little more expensive, but they are just better. Have fun with this hobby. There is a world of variety out there.
