Helping out Blood Hooves here by making this poll.

Vote for the Busse blade you would most like to see tested by Noss next. I made the poll based on the overall consensus in the other thread. All the choices are Combat Grade. No Limited Editions, Custom Shops, Special Editions or Variants.

It seems everyone is very interested as to how some thin INFI or a smaller Busse would fair in Noss's tests so included in the poll are a couple thin or FAT options.

Lets see what everyone thinks and see if we can somehow make this happen when a winner is chosen.

I would like to see the BATAC go through the paces. Medium sized blade and thin by Busse standards. I would like to see an AD tested but it was not a choice.

I would like to see something between 3/16" and 1/4" tested. There is no doubt that the one he tested was the toughest knife to date. Also the edge held up great, which would probably similar on knives from thinner stock, if the edge is the same, which I think it would be similar. But I would like to see how something a little thinner holds up.

maybe not the next one, but i'd eventually like to see how the CGFBM does in his tests compared to the FFBM

i want to see what advantages the thick ash has over the thin ash in terms of durability, if any....

I posted on the other thread, but I'd like to see the CGBATAC destroyed. It seems to me that any of the thinner blades would more accurately measure INFIs properties.

Also, one of the main criticisms in the "discussion" thread after the test was that the blade shape and edge geometry of the BM might have been responsible for its success in the test. The BATAC or GW in CG might put that complaint to rest.

There is no option for "who cares"

There are some of us who like to see what our blades are capable of and how much extreme abuse they can take. Not only that but Noss's videos are just plain cool. I know you take some sort of pride in knowing that the blades you collect/use outperform others. Spare us the smart a$$ comments next time and dont click on the thread.

He did thick last time, lets see what a standard thickness blade can do

I'll vote CG BATAC, at .187

a Thin ASH at .195 or LE at .220 would also be good.

A little EDC like the Cultie or a .170 or under AD would be great as well.

Don't really care though, I know all Busse's will be tougher than any other brand if comparing equal sized knifes. Most all that have Busse's know that without having to see his vid's...but they are fun to watch.

EDIT- Don't see a CG BATAC listed so I'll vote thin ASH

My vote also goes for Batac. It's my main user, and it would be very interesting to see what it is capable of.

I voted last night, and I chose the (CG) BATAC... It's a good middle of the road type of knife... Fairly inexpensive (relatively speaking) in the realm of Busse and other high end "hard use" production knives of it's class... Able to cover the realm from light and fairly delicate work all the way to some heavy batonning & diggging, if needed to perform these tasks... A good hiking/camping/utility/etc. style of knife that I'd recommend over & over to those just becoming acquainted with Busse knives. Not too long or short, not too heavy or light, not too thick or thin, and same goes for the width of the blade as well as length or thickness...
