You have to have a paid membership to vote! Anyway, If I could vote I'd vote for the Axis lock, strongest lock in a folder; smoothest opening. :D

I voted framelock and believe it to be a simpler mechanism and almost fool proof. I have been gripping the framelock folder I have in different grips and in all of them when I tightly grip the handle I have what seems to be a VERY secure grip on/over the actual lock bar. Of course any lock is only as good as it's materials AND design. I have a liner lock that is built correctly and has as secure of lockup as any liner lock I've owned. I've also had some custom lockbacks in the middle 80's that were as strong as anything I had handled to that point. Again the bottom line is the materials and design, and the framelocks design just lets it be the stongest design in my opinion.

Btw, just picked up a 710HS w/axis lock and this lock is also brute strong!

I'd probably have to vote for the BladeLOCK as my favorite as far as solid lock-uo and reliability go. Not much variety in knives there, though. :D

Probably my next vote woulf be lockback.

Give me a framelock or a lockback any day. Even though the AXIS style folders have well proven themselves, nothing beats simplicity.

I can't vote either but my favorites are the BladeLOCK and good old fashion lock-backs.

What Matt said. With an emphasis on "simplicity" which, in my book, equals "reliability".

And in the same order...

And with Steve too, after the others mentioned...

My vote goes for the Arlee Niemi lock. No idea what it is called but it locks up solid in my book. I hope it sets a new benchmark.

Lockback..

I just can't get by the Framelocks slot cut through one side of the knife handle or the Linerlocks bend up liner or the oval holes in the side of a axis lock.

There are some very innovative one-handed lockback knives made by William Henry, Paul Fox, Dewey Harris to name a few.
