I didn't vote because I haven't handled all the types of folder locking mechanisms. Of the two types I'm familiar with, liner lock & lock back, I'd definitely choose the lock back for strength & reliability (I think of the Buck 110); the liner lock for ease of operation but can't find myself trusting it's strength. I'm interested in the results of this poll - nice responses!
 
shmoopiebear - Thanks for the link. The lock looks interesting, though I haven't figured out how it works yet. The reviews are definitely spectacular.
