This is the final round, I chose the top 3 designs to compete. There is one change to the original contest, instead of getting a K Tool, I decided to have a surprise. The winner will get his design made, in any standard handle material, no sheath, for free!

kyturkey #3

This one is kind of a Ky Fieldmate version 2. Stretched a little in the blade and handle, with the index finger groove removed. The blade is close to 1" tall, 3" blade, 3 3/4" handle.

That's very generous of you John, but I have all the knives I need & have been gifted way too many by the fine folks that hang around here so if I win,(long shot) I'd like to stick to the original rules & get a K tool instead.

Thanks for the chance & thanks to all that voted to get me in the final round.

And thanks for the first vote cbach8tw!

Now lets see...

eeny,meeny,miney,moe.....

They are all winners in my book!

I am not sure how a left handed knife got in there, but it's a beauty!

I voted based on my preference for a thumb ramp, I would be proud to own any of the three qualifiers -

I also thought there were several VERY nice designs that did not make the cut (so to speak).

This is always a fun time. Although I want to win, more importantly I'm happy and proud to be a part of this group of knife lovers.

In the finest Chicago tradition my vote is for sale, email offers to my Email. CookCounty Crooks.com/votesales or make offers here on the forum.

Well, nobody offered anything for my vote, so I'll cast one for gratis!
.
I'm choosing the Tool Version Two (TVT) mostly because I like the reverse choil idea and is something I had on one of my sketches that I did not submit as it did not qualify in the length category and does not lend itself to shrinkage. I find the Protourist design to be a very sexy and shapely blade as a hunter and fisherman knife but there is insufficient data as to the other characteristics of the completed design. The kyturkey spear point looks to be a very practical design but it also did not include full design stats a complete finished idea in my imagination. Nice job to all who sent designs and I gotta say, I'm still digging that jarodpender #1 chisel tip. I think that would be an awesome work knife in the construction trades, but it also lacked all necessary details for completion.

See..all I had to do was wait you out & it didn't cost me a dime.:p Harhar.;)

Thanks BJ,appreciate the vote.(and all the others), but they are EDC sized knives so dimensions weren't really necessary IMO.

As strange as this may be rolling off the end of my thought bubbles... I Really dig the Protourist design out of the three... It has a very appealing profile in regards to what I would consider an everyday user.... Beautiful.

they are all very cool designs. (you guys in here love the smaller blades lol) I still have to go with mykels. very cool design imo.

Mack, I wear a horizontal belt knife every day. With the slope of your knife and the sleeker blade that would be my choice.
understanding that it is based on my intended use. Since I work with my knife, cutting rope and cable even, I would have to add serration . The added hand protection is also a must. I also gave credit to Mack, as he recognized the need for product identification, the markers mark. Great attention to detail.

It seems like when I offer a larger, camp knife style, they don`t get much attention, that`s why I chose small knife for this contest.

Yea, but it is a left handed knife.
