Congratulations Mack!

Nice design - will be cool to see it made.

Wonder what handle material would look good on that.... :barbershop_quartet_ :barbershop_quartet_ :barbershop_quartet_

Congrats Mack! or should I say Mack the Knife(designer)...;)

A black canvas micarta made to look the truck tire threads. :)

That would be appropriate, but I think ol' Mack has a certain black, tight grained hardwood in mind.....

I was figuring on a packing tape wrap, I thought that`s what is shown.

Where is my online rimshot when I need one???

Has anyone ever seen recycled Tire Tread usd as handle slabs? Sort of like those sandal soles you see. Might be pretty neat and very grippy

I`m hoping Mykel and Derek will send me their cutouts too, I see possibilities for them!

I go home for a couple of days and look what happens. Thanks guys. I see good things happening here. I hope several of the knives in this contest become reality. There were some really good ones. How mine was chosen I have no idea, I only know that it's a pattern that works really well and I can't wait to try it in John's steel.
Hmmmm, ya think ebony would be a decent choice?

Ebony is nice, but it`s not a standard handle material, I would need to charge extra, just like if you want a wrong hand sheath.

Ebony with some fancy pins..;) After all this knife is special..:D

Send me the bill. It will be worth whatever you decide to charge and I'm happy to pay it.

A good friend has supplied some really dense wood with red and browns that should look fantastic on this blade. Now I'm really getting stoked.
The large piece will be heading to John this week.

Cool Mack!

That will look great -

I had the Cutlass and Galley Wag out yesterday - soaked the handles in mineral oil and mineral spirits mix to freshen them up.

I'll be using the 'Wag to cut up our Memorial Day condiments for the burgers.
