"Vultures"... who buy every damn knife in the forum and sell them for a premium

Yup, people are jerks. This forum has some amazing people though, and I am grateful for that. What knife was it you were after?

Same old story, if you ain't lying, stealing, and cheating, you ain't working hard enough. :D

Sounds like some one I used to know around here (cough LK cough).

It happens, and it is a bummer.

I approached him in a kool manner about it and he flat out even admitted what he was doing. Had the courtesy to say I could buy one of the several he grabbed for the $100.00 markup..... Yea, no thanks.

In other news.... just because im pissed I'm digging out a knife and giving it away... Something kool.

My Vulture Locating app will be operational soon. Expect to see a downturn in this sidewindery at that time.

Mu haha haHAAAA...... :D;)

I hate vultures too but it is part of the game. The only way I combat them is by researching past posts. Vultures that approach me get no leeway with my trades (I don't sell), while respectable posters get a much better deal (maybe free). That way I support the good guys, while making it a more volatile environ for those that are a parasite/only concerned with money.

I noticed this lately - when trying to purchase a regular para off the forums. I'll keep an eye out for you, and snag the mili if it comes up.

Have you tried posting a "want to buy thread"? Before posting a knife for sale I try to check that us forum first. Good luck in your search. Greedy people suck.

It almost seems TOO obvious to ask, but.....

Have you tried contacting the maker and purchasing what you want direct?

Peter

Try collecting another brand. Spyderco seems to be the knife collectors club right now. Sounds like the competition is pissing you off. Not worth the stress IMO. Doubt this is helpful, but it's what jumped into my head when I read your post. Wish I had a brown to hook you up with. I missed that one also.

Yeah, we all hate profiteers and their iLK...

Ehh..who cares? Having some built in demand is good for markets (that includes pretty much all markets.)

I would bet those that are sitting around complaining would not be doing so if they were selling.

EDIT: just noticed the bold LK...what's that about?

Reignman, Hypothetical ?. if you had one for sale ,what would you ask for it? How do you value your knives?. Curious.

Liu Kang - he first offered me a trade for one of his overpriced knife, when I told him I choosed one he denied because - as he said - not make a profit from it. I recommend don't trade with him it is just waste of time.
