W1 fighter/utility in the works

What size stock did you forge down from? I've got some 1/2" round stock W-1 that I was gonna use that hopefully wont cause me fits.
 
:D Salt pots are in the works! I figure why build a gas forge if i will end up modifying it for salts anyway, and skip the gas forge part. Plus a buddy of mine has worked out all the kinks and figured out a CHEAPO way to do it, with great results.

The W1 I got from Aldo is a hair under an inch square.

Thanks Aldo! Not quite MS just yet:), but hope to get there one day soon. I got a big blade from this W1 planned soon, and a little something special for you Aldo also. Thanks for giving me the oppurtunity to forge this W1, it is awesome stuff!
 
Aldo, hopefully soon, gotta grab some 1 inch wide 1084, and I gotta check out how that sword is coming! Erik, THANKS.....I guess;).
 
You done with the blade yet? Dang, I've ground out 3 or 4 since you started this thread! :D
 
Sam is sleeping on this one!! You ever see the ketchup commercial where you have to wait and wait and wait for it? Once you finally get your ketchuo it is the best ketchup you have ever tasted!!

I think that this is how this knife will turn out.
