W1 Stag Bowie

I didn't devise it, so you wouldn't be stealing it from me - you'd be stealing it from Jerry Rados and Jim Siska! That's who I inherited it from!
Jerry taught me, and he and Jim have been using it for years.
I use a 10-32 thread. Most of my ricassos end up around .200 - .215 thick at the guard shoulders. I tap my threads on the tang at about .185, which makes it through the guard easily.

I have not been on the B.F. lately... but I like this knife and have also enjoyed seeing your previous knife posts. On some of your knives it looks like you could choke up on the choil with your finger? (6 inch Bubinga utility/hunter) but it is hard to say without handling the knife. One of things I like about the forums is reading about differing opinions.

well, I'm a little late to this thread but seeing as though I was mentioned in it I thought I'd betteer show the knife that I purchased at the Wolverine show (the whole show review is also in Custom Forum for those that have not seen it)

this shows the knife and the components although I guess I could have showed the raw blade too.

It is a very fine knife and sits atop a couple of Robert Batemen books on my coffee table next to the computer and I do handle it a lot. It has a terrific feel in the hand.

Actually, at Karls table there were about 3-4 others that I would have been happy having but added a nice Hawk, Mike Sakmar Persian fighter and still to come one other piece (will tell maker at the time of posting) plus a beautiful cane by Bill Johnson.

Since then have been on a further buying spree and when the knives arrive, I'll be photographing them and posting. Meanwhile some may want to check out the Rodrigo Sfreedo thread.

OMG!! I LOVE that knife! I can not tell you how much I LOVE that knife!![/QUOTE]

I still had some pics from that and here is a close-up of the fittings. I gave the wrought iron a rather deep etch!
