W2 Short sword - Now in the owner's hands.

Wonderful continuation of the blended styles into the sheath.

This is a whole package, Stuart. Great journey!

Beautiful work. Just great design and execution. The "rattan wrap" stripes on the sheath is inspired. I love how this piece seems simple, yet is not. That to me characterizes refinement.

I showed this thread to Kendall and it blew her mind! She was like; "Stu MADE that?!"
Swinging the unhandled thing around was one thing, I wish I'd visited after the handle was attached!
Fantastic work Stuart! I'm so proud to know you.

To be mentioned in the same breath as Don Fogg is praise I can only hope to live up to. The more I learn and the more I know, the more his work astounds me in it's beauty.

Thanks very much.

Well, folks as good as this knife looks in Stuarts photos, you really need to see it in person. It arrived this afternoon and what a magnificent package of sword and sheath and then to top it off, it was presented in a nice leather pouch with ties. The fit to the sheath is just snug enough but with no play at all and as smooth an insert and retraction as one could ever wish for. The sheath is absolutely perfect. The knife/sword is as good as it gets. Fit and finish are top rate. Now I just have to find a spot to display this fine knife/sword.

That from Murray White? THIS is something special. Hard to think of a more experienced, knowledgeable critic of contemporary American blades--or blades of any kind, for that matter.

Stuart, I think you have arrived.

Thanks so much Murray. I am very honoured to have it in your collection and very pleased that you and your wife are happy with it.
I look forward to seeing your photos of it.

Thanks Will.

Murray owning it is the next best thing to owning it myself - now I get to visit!

Roger

Yes you do Roger and there are a few other things for you to see also since I got back from travelling. Just give me a shout.

and now for the image of this fine W2 Short Sword

Beautiful.

Now where are its parents, both of them? Get busy.

I'm envious of your talent.
