Waiting for the mailman

This is one of those facts that is disturbingly accurate, yet very difficult to confront head on... when you have "something to look forward to" it's a bit easier to deal with "the sh*t that's happening now"

I don't want to derail this fine thread, so I'll say only this - I am truly convinced that we buy knives in excess for the same reason a hoarder hoards, a drunk drinks or a shopaholic shops. Its to distract and anesthetize ourselves from our inner turmoil. Its the only reason I can figure out why I have such an excessive arsenal of knives, with 98% being completely unnecessary. Yesterday I ordered my 12th Delica (green FFG, thank you), and am waiting on 3 other knives as well. I just watched a Nutnfancy knife review (FFG Endura) on my phone at the doctor's office, though I've seen it probably 5 times already. Its a mental condition in the most true and literal sense. Discussions of blade steel, handle materials, rope tests and so forth are just the cover story to provide a veneer of sanity to something that otherwise makes no sense at all.

well, i got it, but i didn't have time to do a review this weekend.

My first impressions are not all favorable. The materials and design are good. The finish is pathetic.

I spent all evening friday reworking the blade finish to try to remove the staining left on by some sort of oil that the maker had put on the blade

the edge grinds look like they'd been put on by a palsied monkey.

For $100, i suppose it's passable, but I was hoping for more.

Pics to follow after work today
Palsied monkey...lmao. That's great. Who made it?

guy named "NipSip" selling over on Texas Hunting Forum...

didn't expect anything really impressive, but i don't think i could make an edge grind that bad if i tried... it looked to be about 60 degree inclusive and off center
