Wal-Mart Knife Story

lol I wish that happens more often with these kids... and hopefully that idiot would set himself straight before Iverson have to shoot him down. (taken lightly pls)

Hey guys just a quick update on the Wal-Mart knife story,
Went back to Wal-Mart to buy an entertainment center for my new TV, and on the way out the door I ran into the same guy,(his name is Carl),anyway he asked if I needed help loading the box into my trunk, so I said OK. After loading the box into my trunk and tying it down, as I reached for my BM 730 he stopped me and with this s**t eating grin on his face he pulled out his own Gator and cut my rope. Seems after the other week he went back and bought his own knife. Says he uses it everyday for something,
-1 for the Sheeple +1 for the Knife Knuts.:D

It is kinda like the dark and light sides in Star Wars! you turned a Sheeple into a nut. Bravo!

Sounds like the shoe is on the other foot now. I bet he's got friends asking him why HE'S carrying a knife now. ;) :D ;)

I've turned a couple of folks and am working on a guy at work right now. When the light blinks on in their brain and they finally understand why one might want to have a knife handy you can see it in their faces.

It's like in the movie The Matrix. Waking people up who have been sleeping in a fog, even when concious.

Hey! I turned a work mate from a former sheeple, to a knife carrying gun owner! :D

His first knife is a CRKT...he picked it out. He likes my Microtech and Striders, but isn't ready to shell out that much money for a knife...yet. :p

He bought a 9mm Sig, and just picked up a 10-22 for plinking.

Changing the world, one sheeple at a time. ;)

That's great news about the kid at Wal Mart, but we're still going to shoot the other punk from the police station when he grows up, right? :p

I got the same guy who's almost come around on the knife thing (really cosmic hippy type of guy) to actually mention that he's entertaining the idea of having me take him to the range and teach him how to shoot! I let him use my Socom Elite to open a box last week and he was like, "wow, I had no idea how smooth these things were".

10-22s are great, I've turned a few gun haters into occasional shooters with my 10-22 and my Browning Buckmark .22 pistol. .22s are great as they don't kick hard and once they see that they can actually get on the paper (hit the target), they get a lot more interested all of a sudden.

We should get merit badges or something for this sort of thing.

hey MNBLADE.... I certainly never hope it ever comes to that... shooting the punk who was being processed into county lock-up, I mean... It actually kind of scared me the way this kid looked into my eyes and locked in... He must have been all of 14 or 15... I turned 29 today, so am twice his age... But some of these 'kids' do the unimaginable... just last week a 15 year here in Bellingham , WA, brought an 8 year old kid into a deserted feild, and proceeded to slash, stab and pound this little innocent guy into peices... according to a friend of mine at the police dept., this little guy went through a whole bunch of s**t before he left this earth. :barf:  :( I wish there were more serious 'frowny faces' I could leave!!!!!!!!.... as every time I even think of this, It makes me mad, sad, confused, angry... oh... did I mention mad and angry..... This little POS actually cut the ears off of the kid. the death was attributed to overdose of insulin... he actually took the time to inject this little innocent boy with so much insulin that he died of that rather than all of his other wounds.......... If anyone out there reading this is an EMT or LEO(or someone who knows about trauma....) , please e-mail me. I have found myself watching my back a lot lately... The perp (killer) is 14 or 15...

I am sure that a lot of you live in much larger cities than mine... so you probably have this s**t in the newspapers more than we do... but it sucks, regardless... But I am REALLY glad that I said what I did to that kid now...

Man , I have never really been a Religious person, but if this kind of crap happens in my little town, I better get a backup plan, huh?

thanks for listening to me vent again, I've had a lot of real bulls**t go one recently... And I am SO slow at typing, it helps for me to get it out here.

Thanks... Dave.

where the hell did this kid got all that insulin? I thought you'd need a prescription to get those.
If someone found him and actually knew that bastard injected so much insulin, maybe he could've save him by giving him sugar. It's pretty much like being starved to death. Insulin (if i remember correctly) signals the body to break down glucose (don't forget that fat and protein can be converted to sugar). The more insulin the faster/more glucose it breaks down. Cell uses glucose as food... so you could say that the kid practically starved to death.
Sad really. Which they give the murderer a taste of his own.

Hey, Calyth,

I don't know anything about how medicine works.... It baffles me big time... when I heard that this litlle guy had been killed by insulin ... I thought the guy who had told me about it was mistaken... then I heard it from a few other people, including one of the cops on scene... this little guy was MUTILATED and yet died from INSULIN overdose... the sick little F**K that did this actually took the time after doing things to an 8 year old boy that even Hitler :barf: would not have done... stuck the little guy so full of insulin that he died!

Guys, what the F**K is this world coming to? I try to keep a good outlook on things... but it is becoming increasingly more difficult....

Im 29 today, I feel old... although I know it is not the case. I can't imagine what you fellas over forty feel about the state of things with youngster these days... It sucks. I am going to go watch my little sister graduate form Columbine high school in Littleton Colorado at the end of this month...

Talk about a Relieved Older Brother... Amanda skipped school that day (not unusual for her, but the ONLY time I could say, "hey, good job playing hooky")

I've been rambling here again, so... good night to you all, and to all a good night.

Most people view NYC as a dangerous place.
I know this couple that lived in NYC but moved out to Colorado thinking they could protect their children better.
Couple months later the whole Columbine thing happend, and two of their kids attended that school. Just goes to show you, you can't run away from these sort of things.

Hey Iverson I work as a mechanic for my County, and when I'm on call I'm responsible for all the County Bldgs., One of those buildings is the Juvenile Detention Center, been called out many days, and nights to work on brand new equipment, recenly destroyed by these preteen felons. Let me tell you these guys scare the S**T outa me, and I'm not a small meek lookin' guy. I never let on that they scare me, I always maintain an confident attitude, not aggressive, because an aggressive attiude is seen as a challenge, much like starein' down a big dog. These kids have no respect for most people, because most people treat them like a disease. But when the Facility Councelers walk in the door these kids immeadiately tow-the-line, because they have the fear of god in them,. That's something they don't have in their pack outside of the Center, outside they don't fear anyone because they have their friends at their back. This instills confidence in them, this they respect, someone who is confident enough about themselves to not pose a threat, and to treat them as people.

You ever notice how aggresive they can get when they feel that people are afraid?

Unless your combat trained, or an epert at martial arts, a knife becomes nothing more than a last ditch attempt to save your own a**, and if you've never cut someone else, it's not an easy thing to do or live with, which makes it somewhat of a variable that you really don't want to gamble with when your life is on the line.

Your best bet, is awareness of you surroundings, avoidance of a situation that puts you at risk, and avoidance of conflict.

I'm no expert but I see these kids all the time, they treat me with resect, and if they deserve it I try to do the same, and even though most people see them as miscreants they are still people,(most of them at least),

When we lump them all together, and don't look at them as individuals, aren't we doing the same thing the sheeple do to Knife Knuts , or Gun Owners?

Hi T.

You made some great points... I had not even really thought about a few aspects you have brought up. I tend to respect and trust everyone until given a reason not to do so... But the AMOUNT of trust and respect that I am allowing myself to feel towards people seems to have faded since the Columbine incident, 9-11, etc...

I feel that most people are good people, whether I see eye to eye with them or not... I try my best not to get down on anyone... but with things like this (the young kid killed) I am starting to be more affected by it...

I guess I'm going to give everyone the benefit of the doubt still, but I'm also going to watch my back, (and'watch the backs' all of the people I love, as well)

To end this post on a VERY POSITIVE note, though... I just met with a guy who I used to work with... who was 19 when I met him, he was into drugs, had many probs with the law... I usd to be his supervisor at work... I don't know why, but even then, I cut him a lot of slack... I had a sense about him, that deep down, he was a GOOD guy. I am happy to report that I was correct. He is now 25, and I hadn't seen or heard from him in 5 years, but it turns out that he works here in WA at an 'at risk' youth 'correctional facility' on an island in the San Juans. He has "been there - done that", and now is helping out kids that were travelling the same path he was... I thought it was pretty damn cool.
