Wal Mart tins!!

None at the Walmart near work. Have to try to hit the others in town now.

Can't say I'm thrilled but haven't seen them yet. Was hoping for a fg 110 :-(

I may just be a parasite and wait for them to get marked down after Christmas. However, it is a good chance for me to examine the chinese Bucks for cheap.

I tried that last year when there were stacks and stacks of them. Then there were none.... sigh....

They have not arrived in my area.:grumpy:

Hey!!! Evil Eye Earl...
Who are you???
Have we met?
Sounds like an ol' Buck HD Bro I haven't seen post here in awhile.

ChitChat Disclaimer: Buck Bros, et al, I never get the tins in my area. Hint, hint ;)

I will take care of my fellow Buck Bro:D
Matter of fact I had already had that thought go
through my head (better get Marvin one)as I searched the aisles and
asked the clerk,he said yep !we got them 3 Buck knives in a
package.....I just shook my head as he showed me 3 Winchester knives:rolleyes:

I looked up on-line the chinese knives are as follows:

373: 3 1/4" stockman, to me a copy of the 303. I actually have the 373, it is not too bad. Probably the best chinese knife I own, which is not saying much.
http://www.buckknives.com/search.ph...egory_id=238&search_term=373&return_op=search

375 2 5/8" two bladed knife.
http://www.buckknives.com/search.ph...egory_id=257&search_term=375&return_op=search

379 3" single blade pen knife.

I of course don't know what the handle material is, but the standard ones are wood. It would be neat to see a picture of these knives, especially the rosewood 110.

Do the slip joints have the normal rosewood handles? Last years had nice Christmasy red picked bone and etched blades.

Not yet available in the local walmarts here :(. Last year they went out just before the thanksgiving sales rush.....so I'll just have to wait....and wait...and wait. I feel like a kid..are we there yet?????

My local Wally World (Central Alabama) sports manager says he has them on a display on a pallet in the stockroom - he thinks they will go out in November.

Do you have the floorplan for the stockroom yet Stainz?

Well guys the tins are already on that evil auction site that sucks our hard earned money out of our pockets. Looks like I'll be getting a set of those Bucks when they hit the local Wally floor.

Thanks for the heads up guys... now there is something else I need to buy - lol :D

I checked the Wal Mart webpage to see if I could at least get a pic. They didn't list any Bucks at all on their site! Thought that was a little odd since there were a lot of Spyderco's, maybe it's a contract deal, not sure.

I'll look on evil-bay to see if I can at least get a pic of them. Haven't seen them in this AO yet.

The salesman at the Wallyworld by me (in Illinois) also said that they plan to bring theirs out in November. Hopefully, they plan to use them as a Christmas season loss-leader.

I have to say i'm a bit dissapointed that Buck decided to go with a made in china line for its christmas tins. At least the 110 is made in the USA. I fully understand the point of manufacturing in china, but for special occasions like the christmas knives, i'd like to see USA
