Wal Mart tins!!

I'm joining this thread late but thanks for the heads up. A rosewood 110 for $30 sounds pretty cool! I'll be stopping by my WW after work today, although they didn't set the tins out here last year until after Thanksgiving.

I'm gonna check the big wal-mart near me, last year they put the XMASS tins out way early and then pulled them off the floor because they were nearly sold out weeks before Thanksgiving.

Yeah, it's mirrored, here's another BIG picture that shows it a little better..
Bummer. But I will still pay peeps Tuesday for a 110 Wally tin today.

Is that signature engraved? You mentioned "etched" in the first post.
Wondering if it is deep enuf to stand up to regular use w/o fading or wear.

THANKS AGAIN for da pics!

What does the tang stamp on the 110 say?

Hey WTB...
I am guessing that it is the same as last year's 112 Wally Tin except with the model number being "110" (I are smart) and the chicken track 2007 date stamp.

Posting last year's just for grins...

BUCK
110
U.S.A
KNIVES

The "BUCK", and "KNIVES" are curved around the 110 U.S.A. The same configuration as the 112 founders addition from last year.

as for the signature, i don't know for sure if it is engraved or etched, it isn't very deep whatever it is, looks to me like it wouldn't hold up to much use

Are those users or collectors? I really would like to use one. I had been thinking of getting a Cabelas 110 with S30V. I think I'll get the Wal Mart tin in 420 HC. Looks like the same knife but for $35 less you get the Wally tin. I know that a S30V ain't worth $35 more dollars. I'm good at sharpening knives :D and Buck's 420 HC is legendary.

Thanks for the report Hubertb...

:thumbdn:Mirror blade

3 outta 4 ain't bad.

Buckaholic, why do you not like the mirror blade? I kind of like it? Am I in a minority? Is this just your personal preference or is the regular looking stainless blade better?

"Flame suit on".

If you don't like the mirror finish or the signature Scotch pads will take it off and give it a nice satin finish.
