Of course having a self funded dog sanctuary doesn't allow alot of extra cash!

They look close to length which, I guess, I should have known seeing the specs-- but actually SEEING it-- WOW! I like how they're almost the same length and tallness.

The real difference I realize is the thickness.

I'm also wishing I went with the thumb stud on this version after actually seeing yours. I really like the placement Jerry chose for this model's stud.

You are correct, the WD is much thicker in hand, and it is weight biased toward the blade, whereas the GT is very balanced and literally wafer thin.

Similar in overall length but very different in use.

I contemplated the thumbhole for the new DZ, as the look is very nice, but went with studs.
 
I like the feel of the Walking Dead version a lot better than the GT.
The GT just feels too thin to me, except the thumb stud, which sticks out too far.
