Walking Dead Knives

Thought you guys wold enjoy seeing my Busse TGLB....

The sheath was made by Skystorm, a member here. Enjoy!

Anyone notice the blade Garreth had when he was going to kill Rob at the trough during the whole "red handle" ordeal? It looked like a camo blade tanto.

It's Bob lol and it wasn't a tanto, it was a camo-ish double edge dagger, I would like to know what it was too.

The Walking Dead is infamous for the lack of firearm knowledge. It's still my favorite show though.

TWD is your favorite show? Hmm

It's just too inconsistent for me to call it my favorite. It's also unnecessarily gory IMO (for ratings obviously), and at times the ideas its trying to explore almost feel too forced

My favorite would probably be Breaking Bad. There's almost nothing I didn't like about that show (other that a couple of characters).
Hell, I would start a thread for that one too, if only there were any knives in it besides the box cutter:D

Mine would be Hannibal, Revolution, and Dexter. Plenty of blades in all of 'em.

Ok this has been driving me nuts for the last hour, In the Episode 18 miles out when Shane cuts his hand he has a really cool knife, every source ive looked at has either said unknown or a Gerber Hinderer, that isnt right, you can clearly see in multiple shots the knife is very thin, very long and has a tanto edge, I would say that blade is 4", It has thumbstuds but no visual on the locking mechanism, other than the clue that there are no visible liners. That can mean three things, option 1 there is a captive lock bar inset into the handles like on Microtechs #2 there are inlaid liners, or #3 there are no liners and the lock is of some other design, you dont get a very good look at the handle only the back and the first inch or so when he is cutting his hand, but there is no evidence of an "axis" style lock, and the knife is at leas partially flow through eliminating a lock back.

Everything Ive seen says a Gerber hinderer but thats not possible, the thumb studs are all wrong, technically they are blade stops because they rest on the handle fully open, the knife he has does not. There is also an interesting gap in the gimping on the thumb ramp right at the thumb stud, it looks like its pressed in not screwed on like the Gerber, the rear of the handle has the glass breaker and the lanyard hole, in the scene its clearly a rounded rear.

So does anyone actually know what the knife is?

I think this the knife in question ;)

I know this post is old (and so is the thread) but since it's currently bumped to the top I'll take the opportunity to post.

In Breaking Bad, Tuco the drug dealer had a bowie knife, and one of the two tweakers that robbed "skinny Pete" had some type of folder (one of the tweakers was later crushed by an ATM).

There might have been other knives besides kitchen knives. It wouldn't surprise me. I could have sworn that Jesse had a folder, possibly an auto.

Good show.

My son wants the same kind of knife that is in the opening credits of The Walking Dead for Christmas. It looks like a knife with holes for your fingers to go through. Does anyone know what that exact one is?

I don't know the knife in question. I believe it is Carol's though. You must be careful. We have lenient knife laws in my state but that one would be illegal because of the knuckles on it. Knuckles are illegal here regardless of if they are attached to a knife.

Once you figure you laws out (if you haven't already), do some searches for knuckle knives.

This is the knife craytab's referring to. Is this the knife you're asking about?

I laugh every time I see Rick kill a zombie by shoving an itty-bitty Gerber folder through its skull.

This is the knife Daryl's been carrying since the 5th season:

Haven't seen the Busse he'd carried previously since Terminus, at least.
