Walking Dead Season 5 (HEADS UP: Possible Episode Spoilers May Be Posted Within)

Anyone else catch how on the last episode (or maybe the one before that) Rick was talking about the broken window theory? How a neighborhood stays decent as long as all of the houses have nice windows? Then In this last one Rick throws the doctor thru a window.

Well, at least this episode cleared up the speculation that it was Jesse who was the abuser rather than her alky doctor husband! I'm betting that next episode Rick and his "family" take over Alexandria, because it is perfectly clear that those people are clueless as to how to survive in the "new world"! And the first people they ought to take "care" of are the priest, the doctor, and that idiot lying punk who got Adrian and Joshua killed. I'd throw him and Gabriel out to the "walkers", because they aren't smart enough to survive. I'd just kill the doctor, because as Rick said, he might return and do them some harm. He is smart and therefore dangerous!

At first I thought she just turned on Rick because she wants to stay... especially after her Sasha experience. Then I started thinking, she agrees with how soft the residents are but wanted to pull a Carol and pretend she's on their side until they can devise a more thought out plan. If she didn't step in- that wasn't going to end well... likely ending with Rick getting shot, and I think she knew that.

Also, I expect next episode we finally get to see the significance of the "W" and maybe the eagerly awaited Negan intro. That would be an insane way to leave off until October.

Michonne wants the place to work. She's not pulling a Carol at all. Ironically, Rick is Shane but Michonne is Andrea. Michonne accused Andrea of selling her out in exchange for a warm bed (and realistically a safe haven). That's what Michonne did to Rick. Same thing Andrea did to her at Woodbury. But Andrea never struck Michonne.

Rick is losing his marbles it seems, reminds me of Shane now

I don't think he's losing his marbles. He tried going thru the zombie apocalypse as Officer Happy and it always ended up causing them problems later on. He's just now seeing things the way Shane and the governor did. His transformation has really made me looks back at those two characters in a much different light. The governor did cross that line when he opened up on his own people when they fled the battle at the prison, but up to that point it seems that he really wasn't the monster that I originally thought he was.

I hate to see Rick thinking with his mandanglelow now, but such is our curse at times. Living on bread and water is tough. Frankly, in a post-apocalyptic world, I would rather have a surgeon in my group than a hair dresser and sheriff's deputy.

Thanks for the thumbs up buddy!

Just saw the latest episode... I feel a big death on the horizon--they're building up to something. Sasha is my gut feeling--she is pretty far gone, but I would not be surprised to see Carol go either. Man, I would hate to see Glen go--he really has become the soul of the show. One more week...

Yeah. Sasha has herself some serious PTSD going on. I thought for sure that she was going to light up on the crowd surrounding Rick.

He made sure to slaughter an entire battalion of soldiers. Soldiers who could have done an excellent job of protecting Woodbury from any threat. But they likely would not have accepted him as their supreme leader the way that Martinez, Merle, and the other thugs did. He knew that his position as leader would be at risk if he helped them and brought them back to Woodbury. Can't have that! So he slaughtered them. Yeah, still a monster.

Let's swap that around a bit.... Surgeon or a young woman with a nice body whom you're falling in love with, and she is doing the same with you.

You can only keep one. Which one gets to live?

On the last episode of The Talking Dead, one of the executive producers said that the season finale will feature blood. And not all of it being shed will be walker blood. Also, we know that Carol and Glenn are going to be two of the guests on the last Talking Dead of the season. So expect one of them to die.

Ha! No kidding... didn't watch it, but I got the feeling something was coming. Carol was just not being 'herself' and faded from the story's center, and the narrative has been building up Glenn's suffering--pulling on our heartstrings. Throw Sasha's 'crazy' getting the best of her into the mix, and, well, there you go--lots of blood. Where is the elusive Morgan???

He might be the sicko who tied that young woman to a tree to be eaten alive by walkers. As well as being the one collecting walkers torsos with just the heads attached. And these "W" marked walkers might be just inverted "M"s for Morgan.

Went back and checked the episode where we last saw Morgan and he was wearing one of those neoprene mask/goggle combos and fingerless gloves, so the torn up body wasn't his. As for the W's, I think it's going to be the Wolves and I think Carl's new sweetie is probably a current or former member of that group.

My prediction: Alexandria gets ready to exile Rick for going feral in polite society, when the Ws who took out Noah's former homestead suddenly show up and it becomes very clear why polite society needs Rick on their side. I can't fathom why Rick hasn't explained to Deandre in detail about the many different social groups they have already met and seen destroyed. Really, take a couple seconds to describe the Termites' slaughter-trough, or the Claimers, or the governor's collection of heads, or the fate of Noah's dad, etc etc, and she'll start getting his perspective a little better . . . .
No way Carol dies though. She is stone deadly.
