Walosi needs some prayer help

Justpicked up some Sweetgrass and Sage and Bear Root today...Smoke is up in a few

Sorry to hear of this. I know this can be a totally miserable and debilitating ailment. Smoke going up from this part of California and all my best wishes.

Regards,

Norm

Thanks everyone. Please keep the prayers/smoke going up. Not much news at this point as we are waiting test results. Wal can still talk, although pretty slurred. We are hoping for the best.

Thanks Ferg for posting the GB info. As I said, this is Walosi's second bout with GB. It took him a couple of years to recover from his first encounter with it... he never did fully recovered and it is doubtful that he'll recover as much as he did before.

I'll keep posting updates as I get them.

Thanks again.

Alan

I did send smoke last night. Will repeat tonight and in future.

I've never talked to Walosi but I'm very sorry to hear this. Just yesterday I ordered some Corona for horn handles based on his recommendation . Sending my own version of smoke for him-

Prayers from our hearts coming your way Walosi :)

Update. Dad was intibated and moved to ICU at 3:00 this a.m. I'm heading east.

I'll post another update when I get internet access again.

Thanks again for the smoke and prayers....

Hi everyone,

Well, seems I can't get out of here until tomorrow. But there is some news.. maybe good.

Doc says that it'll be a 2-3 day wait to see how things shake out. It isn't known how long Wal went without oxygen last night. He was in respiratory arrest when they checked on him at 3:00 a.m. For some damned reason, they took him off of a breathing monitor last night...

I'm driving east tomorrow morning and should get there about the time that some news is available. If dad wasn't without oxygen too long, the doc says he should pull out of the GB without too much problem. But if he went too long, then a whole new can of worms opens up. Time will tell.

Again, thanks for all the smoke. I've got the best network of folks praying for him... all the good people here in the cantina and the folks over at the S&W Forum where Dad was a moderator... heck, it could have spread out from there.

Prayer works... so Wal ain't down and out yet. I'll keep you posted.

Alan

I am so sorry and will send the biggest help prayer I can this night before bed.

A Happy Update!!!

As I was leaving Buffalo this a.m., I got a call from my brother. Wal was sitting up in bed and coherent!! They took him off of 100 percent oxygen... scaling in back to 65 percent.

Damn... that was scary. He still has a long way to go yet. It is unknown whether he'll be ventilator dependent yet. I don't know how long it'll take to determine that. Plus he has a ton of PT/Rehab to go through. But he is doing better.

I'm stuck at a truck stop in Sioux Falls SD. It is nap time, then I'm continuing onward.

I passed on your thoughts/prayers to Wal through my brother. He knows you guys are pulling for him.

Thank you again for your prayers. Please continue to send up smoke. He ain't out of the woodshed yet... but the door is open :)
