Continuing sending smoke from Ohio-

After 8 days in ICU, Wal has finally be moved to a step-down ward for monitoring
His muscle control is coming back incredibly fast, but he still has work to do. To his displeasure, he is on a feeding tube until his throat muscles can handle swallowing (big risk of pneumonia (sp?) if food/fluid gets in his lungs). He got further in 8 days than he did in 2 months last time (and he is 16 years older). That says a lot for his determnation and for the advances in treating GB.
I've passed on all of your prayers and thoughts to him. He was surprised that so many people were pulling for him.
My brother is staying in Ky to watch over my mom and to get their house sold. Dad and mom will be moving down to NC with my brother once dad is out of rehab and the house sells.
Thanks again (can I say that enough?) for all the prayers/smoke. This is another example that it does work.
Alan, thanks for the update on your dad. I have not posted on this forum in a while, but he has been in my thoughts and prayers. So are you and your family. God Bless!
Walosi is a Cherokee Warrior so of course he is a fighter! Damn glad to hear the new good news!!!! I know Walosi was/is concerned about his Barbie too. She also needs our prayers. Walosi feels about his Barbie the same as I do mine. Each is the best wife in the world for each of us, can't find or want any better!
Don't forget that at LEAST 3 of your fingers need to be bandaged while you do the handshake WHOOPS! Now I done it, I gave away half the secret! :footinmou
Now Rob... a SECRET handshake ain't secret if you go spillin the beans :grumpy:
I just got home from a long drive... thank God for XM Radio and Mt. Dew!! I'll by flying home next time.
Mom is doing okay considering. My brother is staying in Ky. to take care of her and get the house sold. I'll go back to help move them down to my brothers neck of the woods (NC) as soon as things click together.
More good news... dad got his feeding tube removed today. That should brighten his disposition greatly
Keep up the smoke/prayers. We still don't know how far he'll recover yet. It looks like he'll have to do about two weeks of rehab.
