I needed some walrus ivory for my knife handles.

I found this nice website: walrusivorystore.com

When I ordered, I was told that shipping to Belgium was 30 USD. They would take care of the CITES papers, import and export papers.

They asked me to transfer money (350 euro) via bank transfer to a German bank. (I can't use VENMO because I am in Europe) Transfering money to the USA is very expensive, but they had a contact in Germany.

After I transfered the money, they contacted the Shipping company: shipradarx.com

Then I was contacted to pay for insurance (150 euro), wich I did. I got a tracking number and could follow the delivery process.

The package entered Europe in Dublin. Customs in Dublin asked another 600 euros for a special stamp. (because it was ivory). This was 100% refundable they told me.

I asked for a customs number, but they couldn't provide it untill I paid. Which I didn't do.

Long story short:

Walrusivorystore.com is a fake site but they also made a fake site for a shipping company: shipradarx.com

When you look up the phone number for the first site, it is linked to another site too: Fellafurs.com And this is also fake.

At the moment, they are still trying to get the extra 600 euro out of me.

Yes, walrusivorystore.com is 100% a scam. They use photos from the site I get my tusks from. I meet the folks I use at the Texas Blade Show in Fort Worth. I did a google lens image search of some tusks to try and find more suppliers listings and this one came up. I always search the phone number first and that Fur place came up in Indiana under the same number so I looked it up and people said it was a scam as well. The first giveaway was the site lists that they accept Visa, PayPal, Mastercard, etc but when you try and checkout it only allows Apple Pay or Zelle. I’m glad I didn’t take a chance on these fools. I hate a thief more than anything.

I created an account just to post this. More folks need to call this site out so less people get scammed.
