Walther P-22

Here is mine. I have put some where between 15,000 to 20,000 rounds through it. With the suppressor it fires flawlessly. I bought both at the same time, but I had the pistol for 3 or 4 months before I could pick up the suppressor. I fired it maybe 1000 times the first few months, and had very few problems.

It is very accurate and very quiet. Now I feed it the cheapest crap ammo I can get my hands on and it fires it all. I just buy that bulk pack at WalMart and shoot that. Either Remington or the white box of Winchester ammo. They both shoot very well. I think the suppressor has a lot to do with that to.

I ran mine for almost 2000 rounds before cleaning it just to see if it would jam, but it kept shooting. I finally cleaned it when I hit the slide release and the slide would not go forward all the way because of the dirt. Once I hit it and it locked in, it fired all 10 rounds with no problems. I just figured it was time to clean it after that. :p

I was really tempted to get a P22 after checking a few out at a gun show. They felt really good in my hands. Then I did some research on line and saw quite a few complaints about their reliability and accuracy and ended up going with a Ruger 22/45 instead. I'd still like to maybe pick up a p22 some day just for the fun of it though. As far as ammo goes. . . I know every gun is different and all that, but I've gotta say that CCI makes some great stuff. I've shot about an equal number of rounds of CCI and Federal (the 550 round bulk box from wally world) and didn't have any trouble from either, but the CCI is definitely cleaner and (I think) more accurate.

Same experience here. Then I got a Sig Mosquito, and after breaking it in, its a GREAT gun as well.

You can't beak a Ruger .22 pistol.

I was looking at these as a host for my .22 suppressor. Almost got one, but found a good deal on a Browning Buckmark instead.

I read a lot of commentary about issues with the P-22. Seems like the early ones had trouble, but later on they got things fixed up. Of course, with a Ruger or Browning, there's hardly any complaints. Just happy shooters.
