...And checks into the Hilton :D.

No offence to Bear. I know he'd whup my arse with little effort but I gotta jump on the "Bear-Grylls-is-a-wuss" bandwagon once in a while. :D:p

LOL, Spooky! :D

Bear's make up people did a lovely job of spreading mud on his face. I wonder where he keeps his razor during these trks. He stay so clean shaven the whole time...

Perhaps he gets them at the Hilton gift shop. :D

May 2nd = new season of Man vs. Wild; it look's pretty good too. Before someone flames me, I know quite alot of the stuff in his show is BS. But compared to the other shit on tv (Celebrity Fit Club, Dancing with the Stars, etc etc) Man vs Wild IS some damn good entertainment for the outdoor enthusiast.

dannr, I agree it's fun to watch. I always love to see what new harebrained moves he'll show. :D

My wife loves to make fun of him, but we both watch and enjoy his entertaining shows; he does pick interesting locations and typically has great videography. The guy does some pretty hair-brained stuff, but I still enjoy his shows more than most of the idiotic stuff on TV:D

Calm down, both of ya.
Go eat some rose hips 'cause its "loaded with vitt-a-min C" and relax.

;)

I like to watch both "Man vs. Wild" and "Survivor Man". They're both entertaining and give me a lot of food for thought. Les Stroud, carrying his own camera gear and doing his own photography, has a harder time of it. I think it's probably very realistic how many of his food gathering efforts fail miserably. He gets down about the failed attempts at times, and, consequently, my son and his new wife call him "Whiner Man". :D But I'm not in a position to be critical.

Survivor Man is way more realistic since he makes mistakes and fails at times. That is real stuff that happens to all of us.

Survivor Man=Here is what you can do if.......

Man vs. Wild=Look what I can do (show off for drama) and you might get killed doing some of these stunts.

Its entertaining and if I can learn one thing from the show it was time well spent!

I enjoy both shows as well as the one with the english bloak(can't remember name).
I met Les Stroud at the Toronto sportsman show and he is the real deal.

HeeHee... Sometimes I think Les packs some special 'herbs' that he does not show on camera.

Funny thing is... even my 10 yr old daughter picked up on the discrepancies in Bear's filming. Lots of editing!

Man I hate Les... he's such a geek! Bear is the man. Don't care what he's been caught doing, I still think he's a great outdoorsman.

hey, I know where those pictures came from!

aww but Les is awesome! just watching the show for the camera work is worth it (and he writes the music too).

does this look like a geek?

Overall I like Les, but his post-production is wierd, especially when he is talking to the other camera. I think I caught epilepsy off of his editing, but other than that, I can't get enough of Survivorman reruns. I love watching him bash a camera with a rock and then almost not be able to get enough sun to light his fire. Good stuff. Am I the only one who likes to drink a beer and eat a sandwich while watching the show? :)

I hope Bear squeezes water out of hamster feces this year.

Man. I was sure you were gonna say Fozzy Bear was your hero.
