Want a frame lock user...

I'd TRY a Strider. I really like the solid handle design too.
If not, go with CRK.

You can't go wrong with the CRK insingo. My favorite blade of his. Your feelings about durability are moot as long as you're not being stupid crazy with it.

No 25 insingo yet but think you'd find the large 21 handle better unless it actually fit your fingers exactly. I would get it by itself and then only if aren't 100% happy after a few days get another option.

I own a couple of Striders and even the newest one has a sticky lock. It is a SNG DGG hollow grind s30v from 2014. I would not recommend a strider to someone who is looking for a knife and has a 500 dollar budget. I agree with everyone that CRKs are slick and work withing the budget but I think there are plenty of other options. I really feel that when spending 5 bills you get a better knife in a Mid tech. If anyone has handled a Les George Vecp or Talos side by side with a SNG or SMF and prefers the strider please correct me but other than a forward choil I see no advantage to a Strider. Same with Calavera, Olamic, Chaves, Begg, TSF, Grayman, Lambert, Fellhoelter ect ...............

Good point. So your suggestion is the Sebenza? I'm definately not an abuser, but they'll get some work camping and such, but any of these should be more than up to the task.
I have not looked into any of the mid techs. Are they within my roughly $500 price range?
You can find a couple nice midtechs in the 400-500 range but you'll have to be quick to act when you see one pop up for sale... I must apologize as these don't fall under your requirements- I thought you'd be happy to know of a couple other options though

I just got rid of my ZT0550 and replaced it with this:

The Dervish Navajo midtech, which offers a nice 4" blade and an edge with a nice balance between cutting performance and being plenty beefy enough for any tougher tasks you may encounter. Later this year this knife will be released as a titanium frame lock in about a 3.5" size.....

BUT you said you wanted a titanium framelock, so I recommend you check out the Southard Avo. I haven't handled one yet but based on Brads work, I'd say this is definitely worth a look, unless you just can't get get around your distaste for flippers.

Michael Burch has been making some really nice midtechs as well and they are non-flipper all titanium knives

Good luck with your search! Good things lie ahead...

Many differences, but such similar blade shape... TiSpine cost me $384.95 new. 1/8" blade stock, Ti framelock.

Oh yea you're totally right about that! I do like this blade shape quite a bit, easy to sharpen, nice and stabby and with some belly to get work done ;)

The TiSpine/aculus/blackwater knife just got on my radar last week and I'm liking it more and more with every pic I see...actually OP, this is a knife worth checking out as well!

Yup! That's what I was thinking too, seems like everything that you wanted while also having the added coolness of Elmax, a one piece integral frame, and the feel-good factor that comes with finely made Italian products.

Any of these can be had in your price range.
