i want a tiny knife, something with a 1.5 to 2.5inch blade (definitely no bigger). im thinking i might want something that will go on a keychain, so that probably means it will get scratched up, which means im not sure i want to pay a lot for it (plus what if i lose my keys) :D

i like the sog micron, and the price, except for the giant sog logo in the grip :( i also like the sog twitch 1 and blink, but those might be getting too pricy for a keychain...

i also remember liking the crkt mt shasta in the price, although i was told its crappy steel. but with these new needs crappy steel might be a good way to go

anyone want to recommend some knives in this category?

Byrd. Finch. Or Starling. I just got a Starling, and am liking it.

Jester is pretty neat, too.

I'd recommend a Spyderco Jester...I really like the blade shape and after handling one I was impressed at the amount of control you have over the blade with the small handle.

Kershaw Chive ! The black boron Chive is almost scratch-proof, but about $40. The regular chive can be had for $30 or less. Has a lanyard/keychain hole and a blade safety to keep it from opening in your pocket. I use a Kershaw Baby Boa on my keychain and I use the pocket clip to keep my keys from weighing down my pocket. Check out this thread for a pic of the chive. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=299998&highlight=boron+chive

Good Luck

Lone Wolf Paul Knife or Spyderco Kiwi, or Blade Tech Mouse.

The Blade-Tech Mouse is tough little knife with a stout lock. ($29.95 for the 440C, FRN version. $62.46 for the S30V, G-10 version)

A. G. Russell has a tiny little pen knife with a Titanium handle, and VG-10 blade. It is a nice little knife for $20.

Spyderco cricket or spin, depending on your bladeshape preference. Take the pocket clip off either of these, and they are flat and completely disappear in your pocket. I carry my spin loose in the pocket with a lanyard attached, instead of on the keys, because it's much easier to get out and use that way.

Hi all... my GF had a spyderco cricket that she loved until she lost it. Now she wont leave me alone until I replace it.

I've been using this Kershaw 1710 ACE on my keyring for a few months now, WICKED sharp and very durable.

$19.99 for titanium handles and VG-10 steel? I'm interested in the A.G Russell Pen Knife!
