My wife said they had a VW bus when she was a kid and she likes to surf and she says things like "rad" so...........

Steven Stockton is my name, hint the SS. 1945 was the end of WWII, where two of my uncles proudly served in both the European and Pacific theater. Saying someone is a racist because of his user name and going strictly off that is ridicules. It seems you are very thin skinned my friend, judging a book by it's cover, no doubt. I'm new to the forum and had good dealings with the people here. I guess good things don't last long. I'll give you some insight to what kind of person I am, John Wayne once put it " I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted and I won't be laid a hand upon. I don't do these thing to other people and I require the same from them." I think it's a good motto to live by. I'm a John Wayne man. I guess there aren't too many of us out there, or left. completely unecessary. vtw already apologized to you specifically for opening this thread. it was intended to be a hypothetical, although we assumed he was referring to you, and made assumptions about his intentions based on your forum handle.

legit question posed by vtw, he was just seeking a little advice.

i had no idea what your handle meant, and said as much.

vtw is a stand up guy, no question. you seem to have made a few assumptions without reading the entire thread, or at least the follow up posts by vtw.



and btw, vtw never referred to you specifically except to apologize. is it perhaps a bit presumptuous of you to assume he meant you? it was other forum members who made a connection.

I have noticed a disturbing trend, reproduction Nazi gear like Hitler Youth daggers.

I don't know where the motivation to make garbage like that comes from.

I have seen some real WWII trophys which have special signifigance for the veteran and their family but I would never spend money to buy one and I wouldn't take a copy if it were given to me.

Having a handle (SS1945) that is reminiscent of Nazi's is going to bring out bad feelings even if you have the best intentions.

It's hard to seperate, like a U.S. citized named Osama.

Any way, VTW has apologised and from what I have seen he's a good guy.

I hope that you accept his apology and treat this as a purely hypothetical question which I believe is how VTW asked it.

perhaps your handle made him think of running into a problem with someone.

not that your handle or you specifically are a problem, but after seeing it perhaps he wondered what he should do if someone who's morals are questionable wants to complete a transaction.

lets say, hypothetically, a members handle is....

babysealkiller,

and he offers to buy a knife from me. could i, on moral grounds, not complete the sale? that is, choose to ignore an offer because i believe he is of poor moral character.

and Knowing VTW he is an artsy quick thinking guy and prob did mean it to be hypothetical. You both said sorry, nuf said.

Yes you are new here. These are a good bunch of true American boys, and other countries also, looking for others with common interests. I have been a member here for 6 months and realy have enjoyed reading and participating in the posts. I do not think that VTW meant anything malicious with his hypothetical question about your handle.
