I have been looking for several knives for a while now. So I made an ad on the wanted to buy forums and one person replied. It was up for two weeks before being removed. The ad only had about 30 views. Why doesn't anyone check out this section?
 
generally, sellers don't go looking for their market. it works the other way.

but i do occassionally check the wtb sections.
 
I guess times aren't hard enough yet and people still want to hold on to what they have. Or the ones that have viewed your ad don't have what you are looking for. Or you not offering enough money. Or....
 
I check it out from time to time. If I have something I do not need anymore, then I contact those that want a specific knife or other gear.
 
I think I might have gotten one or two replies but for the most part they don't work that well. Instead I put up an ad in the trade section with what I am looking for and what I have to trade and that seems to work better. People check out the trade forums much more often. However, your best bet is to just check the for sale forum often and email someone quickly and know what you are willing to pay. If it is a popular knife there is not time to hesitate.
 
Only members able to sell in the first place can view the WTB threads. Since they paid for the ability to list & sell, they do that instead of trying to match up to a single individual.

Don't know about the Blackhawk ... probably uncommon.

The 2000 should be out there.
 
I have found a few knives that i was looking for by posting in the WTB, i mustve had some good luck:D

ive gotten a few as well.

but each time it was from a member whom i already knew.


every time i have contacted an unknown member about their wtb, the sale has not gone through.
 
You telling me we have a WTB section around here:confused:












Just kidding.
Just keep your add up, thats about all you can do.
The reason it had so few views is you can scroll over a thread and read some without opening it. I'm sure plenty have seen it, but just didn't have(or want to sell) what you where looking for.
