Dark Ops knives was the former Extrema Ratio importer.
They dropped them due to their "unrothodox" behaviour, and seeing current Dark Ops knives you may well see why.
The knives they sell are often unauthorized copies (read "plagiarisms") of the real deal Extrema Ratio stuff.
They got to be the importer, copied the knives and started to sell their own instead of the original ones.
Do not reward such behavior!

Appreciate the headsup but "Dork Ops" (sp. intentional) is already quite infamous on this forum along with several others.:D
 
Wouldn't go near them on a bet.Kinda' liked the Extrema Ratio's though,haven't got one,trimming back on the tacticals.

I just said that I've made a search, I've seen some recent praises of Dark Ops, so I wanted to warn you. Already knew? Well, good for you. Better once too much than once too few.
Anyway, sorry for disturbing you. Stay sure I won't warn you even if a big truck was about to run you over. :grumpy:

(BTW, I like a lot the M16-01. Very comfy for e.c. and I like the design a lot.

How funny it is for me, first time I saw Extrema Ratio's website. Reminded me of the days when I used to play Command and Conquer! :D :D
 
Oh, I was just joking Alarion. My M16/11K is my main EDC and as folks around here can tell you, I'm pretty crazy about it. My second CRKT.

I just enjoy some good poking at Dark Ops. Their knives might be great, I've got no idea...but their advertising is BRILLIANT. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. I'm to the point where I'm not sure if it's intentionally cheesy or if they really think they're ninjas.
 
Weren't these the jokers who rented that hude stand at Blade and sat there twiddling thumbs for the whole weekend?

Hasn't the /11 got the "razorsharp" edge? I don't like that much. I'm for symmetrical edges, al the more because the "razorsharp" isn't really sharper than the standard one :)
The /11 is too large anyway for everyday carry here in Italy.
I much prefer the /01.
Even if the M21 I'm carrying is pretty large itself.
 
Alarion,Might wanna' lurk for a while and LISTEN to what these fella's say and talk about.No ill will intended bro,just some advice,you can take it or not.There are some very wise people here.On all manner of(what's the word I'm looking for?}LIFE and especially on knives.In the short time I've been here I've learned so much.Unbelievable.But I did have problems in the beginning which I hope are resolved.If not,message me and we can resolve any problems.Yeah,Alarion.I was painted red.Only because I was offended by some small thing and came out blasting!The last of the skin grafts finally took and seem to be healing nicely after the flamethrower was turned on.Hope everybody had a happy and safe FOURTH.Leatherbird.
 
leatherbird, Alarion has been a member here for a long time, it is just that sometimes it is not easy to differentiate between sarcasm and a joke when it is posted on the internet.

By the way, glad to see that your skin grafts are healing well. ;)

And here I was convinced that Dark Ops were amazing knives and that upon holding one you would turn you into a shadow ninja running around at night covertly deanimating people and airplane hulls.

Well, Alarion, you've made me change my mind. I promise not to buy any Dark Ops knives.
