The Ultimate fighter is a design a forumite sent in to Yangdu. I doubt there are any knife shapes new under the Sun.

Nice alteration of the design. It will make a good fighter.
The false edge makes it good for thrusts and backcuts, but it will make it impossible to do some of the covert deanimation techniques in Bando :)
Some moves require a hand on the back of the blade, when you use the curve of the blade to cut around a joint or throat.
The M43 seems best for those.
I love the UBE and movie model, I can't wait to see one of these ultimate fighters!

Krull has some skill at making pics "change" is this close to what you envision?
 
of course, i'm prejudiced, but the krull handle looks too fat vis a vis my version, of course my hands are not particularly big. (they're just the right size to shoot a govt. model .45 w/o pinching the web of my thumb)

i prefer the grip tapering towards the pommel until just before it flares back out, to help keep your hand from sliding forward in a thrust (grip copied from photo of my original early nepali kukhri). no guard tho, that would be cheating. the krull paint program is a bit better at trimming odd shapes than mine is tho.

a few fullers always add something to the look, i'll practice adding in a few & repost if they look good, academic exercise as we probably are too late to influence the design - but fun anyway.

Somehow .. seems it has slight appearance of Kujang a traditional Javanese knife .. see this pict which was posted by Kronckew in Kukhri ID? .. see the pict below ..

That's a helluva knife that Kronck came up with off the original and I have to say I like the overall design better and DIJ your pencil drawing is exquisite.

I finally got around to getting the original sharpened a few days ago and hopefully in a couple/three days or so I'll get it etched to reveal the hardening line.
Barb has saved up some pop cans and water bottles for me.
Hopefully it won't be much longer and I'll be able to put the Ultimate Fighter through what paces I'm able.:thumbup: :D
