I apologize if this isn't in the right place - I'm new to these forums, not really a knife person, and I usually only pop in around gift-giving times for advice.

That said, when I do buy knives online, I buy them from Warriors and Wonders. They're a Canadian place I was recommended by another member, and they've always been great so far.

Today I received a knife which I can't name (the giftee in this case is a member who knows how to look for things I might be buying him), and it's great, except for a little scratch... because it's on the handle, which is entirely silver, it really sticks out on the little guy.

The site's policy on returns involves the buyer paying the $12.50 shipping fee to return it themselves, which is what gets on my nerves I guess.... it bothers me that I'd have to pay to receive a NEW item, which is what I paid roughly $75 Canadian for in the first place :(

I don't know, am I over-reacting? It's supposed to be a gift for someone who collects the brand, or I wouldn't be as bothered.

On an unrelated note, I purchased the tiny Bug along with it as my very first Spyderco knife, and I couldn't be happier with it :P

Thanks, I've heard good things and I have indeed sent an email through the "contact" section of the site. It's just new territory for me, wanted to make sure I'm not being unreasonable.

I suppose I'm also nervous that something went wrong this close to Christmas, but that's obviously my own fault for not ordering sooner, haha.

contact buttons are never the way to go...I had a problem a few days ago with making payment through a BFC dealers shop (problem on my end) and I ended up calling and got it soughted WAY quicker then if i did it through email.

With the holiday period its best to call.
