I apologize if this isn't in the right place - I'm new to these forums, not really a knife person, and I usually only pop in around gift-giving times for advice.
That said, when I do buy knives online, I buy them from Warriors and Wonders. They're a Canadian place I was recommended by another member, and they've always been great so far.
Today I received a knife which I can't name (the giftee in this case is a member who knows how to look for things I might be buying him), and it's great, except for a little scratch... because it's on the handle, which is entirely silver, it really sticks out on the little guy.
The site's policy on returns involves the buyer paying the $12.50 shipping fee to return it themselves, which is what gets on my nerves I guess.... it bothers me that I'd have to pay to receive a NEW item, which is what I paid roughly $75 Canadian for in the first place
I don't know, am I over-reacting? It's supposed to be a gift for someone who collects the brand, or I wouldn't be as bothered.
On an unrelated note, I purchased the tiny Bug along with it as my very first Spyderco knife, and I couldn't be happier with it
