Warriors & Wonders Dropping Kershaw

All is good I believe, I think the owner was just attempting to go internet only and probably had second thoughts about closing-down local sales entirely.

I just noticed below in "red" he's closing out all of his Kershaw line. They are all on
special/clearance.

I think that Jay decided that they were not getting as many turns as they should, in the particular niche he has carved out.

I've heard Jay say, that Kershaw doesn't seem to want the business, as much as the other's.

I am not a big fan of kershaw knives. they are a bit over priced for what you get. just my two cents.;)

I disagree also. I'm not typically a big fan of Kershaw just because their designs rarely match my own personal preferences but I have to admit that they give you a TON of knife for your dollar. ;)

While I'm going to miss the having option, it's not that big a deal for me. Jay keeps awesome prices on Spyderco and Benchmade stuff, but the Kershaw line was not competitive with U.S. pricing. From the looks of it Kershaw stock moves very slowly over there.

If Jay needed to drop any of his lines I'm glad it was Kershaw. If it had been CS, Spyderco, Sog or Emerson I would have been extremely disappointed. The only Kershaw knife I ever liked was their huge D2 fixed blade the Outcast [ I think that's what it's called]. If I was a camper [ and I'm definitely not ] I would have snapped that up- it even came with a kydex sheath.
I'd be happy if Jay replaced Kershaw with CKRT. Like Sog and, my very favourite, CS they offer a wide variety of products at a reasonable cost.
I'd love to get my hands on the Hissatsu or the Hisshou.
In any case W&W is the best knife store in Canada and I consider myself lucky to live in the same city. [as I tell my wife; my knife obsession was ment to be, or else why would Jay have opened his store in Vancouver?]

Really great thread going on here. Lot's of fabulous posts.

I heard members that posted in this thread have way too much time on their hands, but that's just what I heard. Don't have a clue of the reality of the situation, but thought I would pass it on.

I'm sad to see them go (from Jay's) - he had by far the best Kershaw prices that I've found in Canada. I understand that it was a tough call for Jay, but he's got to do what's best for his business.

The up-side of his clear-out is that I snagged a handful of knives that I'd had on my want list for a while, but hadn't gotten around to buying. Mmmm Spec Bump goodness :) And it sounds like he'll continue to carry the Shun and ZT lines.

But for Kershaw, now all we've got up here are full MSRP vendors :(

Cheers,
