Warriors & Wonders Dropping Kershaw

WTF is your problem? need i remind you you were NOT present in the store......
I have no problem, other than you have absolutely no business speaking in such a manner for a current customer. I'm sure Jay would be totally embarrassed by your words and this thread.

^ thats wonderful! good for them! happy happy joy joy!

Whoa, easy there tiger:rolleyes: I'm trying to discuss this with a level head, even though you're making some bold, nasty statements. Did you really just respond with the above quote, or am I seeing things. Let's try and keep this mature, eh? I'll see you in W&C later on for the shenanigans:cool:

PUBLIC APOLOGY:

sorry everyone. Been an extremely stressful week. I was out of line with my posting tonight, here. I just get miffed when i had a conversation in person with someone and i get called BS on it by someone who was not there in person. In any case, I apologize to everyone, including Thomas W for my harsh posts in here tonight.

night.

Fair enough, apology accepted. We all have tough weeks, myself included. Maybe Jay DID have a bad experience. It bothered me a bit to see you trying to pigeonhole Kershaw for the sentiment of just one dealer.

Anyway, hope this week brings you better days:thumbup:

Well I'm glad someone brought this thread to my attention, since I've had no time lately to check the forum.
My decision to drop Kershaw was solely based on the fact that I couldn't offer them at a competative price to the Canadian customers. Kershaw had made a decision on the pricing based on some of their other accounts and they have every right to make such decisions.
After giving it a try for several years it became obvious that I couldn't expand/promote the line. It had nothing to do with the quality, design or anything else.
Now everyone go have a beer!
Jay

Thanks, Jay.
I think I will go have a beer now:D I appreciate your clarification.

Thanks for weighing in Jay.

Why don't I call you to discuss tomorrow.

I'll go for that beer now as well. :)

Thanks for setting the record straight, Jay.

A little late tonite for another beer, but I'll drink a Molson (or 2) tomorrow nite to make up for it. :D

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?

:p:D

What happens in the family compound, STAYS in the family compound..........until Lucille down at the five and dime tells everybody about it, then Mildred the switchboard operator gets a hold of the story and it just explodes throughout the whole damned county!!! Now you're all in trouble!!:p

Ah, just what I hoped might happen

Our choices, Kershaw dealers wise, up here in Canada are very limited - one less is a big loss.

Thinking positive thoughts :p

I'm honestly sorry for Kershaw fans. I know how disappointed I would be if Jay had dropped one of my favourite lines. It's obvious from BEN's comment above that he thinks my suggestion of CKRT to replace Kershaw is a poor one. Actually I can think of many other makers I'd like Jay to carry as well.
I was wondering what brands W&W customers would like Jay to bring in?

I hate to be a nay-sayer, but I honestly don't think it's that big a loss. W&W's prices on Kershaw's always seemed to be a bit higher than the competition (the competition being Canadian knife dealers), even though the other lines they carried seemed to have very competitive prices.

I can understand how this would be a big loss for those who particularly enjoyed dealing with W&W over other dealers, but in terms of prices (on this specific brand), I'm happy to go elsewhere. Again, no offense and I hope I'm not being too much of a nay-sayer.

I for one hope that Jay and Kai come to an agreement that allows Kershaw knives to continue to be represented by W & W. Sometimes cross border arrangements pose their own unique difficulties that are really no fault of either party. As Jay knows, I have a fair assortment of knives of various makers. I have always considered Kershaw to be a 'high end' product that I have never been disappointed in owning and as such, I didn't find Jay's pricing to be out of line. As well, I certainly don't loose sight of the fact that W & W is a brick and mortar store, with it's attendant overhead. However, I am just one person that certainly doesn't dictate the realities of the market.

Either way, I wish the best for all concerned.
